Samco/Silicone Hoses

Does anyone have any experience replacing the cooling system piping with aftermarket/silicone hoses?

Having pulled the engine and fuel tank I'm looking to replace the majority of the cars rubber hoses as they are looking pretty tired and are more than likely 20+ years old!

I've found complete kits for the cooling and ancillaries sold by Samco in Australia and I'd like to hear from anyone that has used them before regarding quality fitment etc. I'd also be interested to hear suggestions for other brands too if you have them.

Pro's of going silicone seems to be longevity while the Con's have to do with the fact that you will loose water more quickly versus rubber. Another reason these appeal is that the quicker I get them the quicker I get my car back on the road and tracking down part numbers and waiting for parts to arrive from Japan doesn't sound too great!

I replaced all of the cooling system hoses on mine 2 years ago will a full kit from Stoney racing in the UK, I have found the quality of their hoses to be very good and the fitment was spot on.
They also have an eBay store so you can purchase the kits through there and get buyer protection for that extra piece of mind when waiting on parts shipped from the other side of the world but overall I found them very good to deal with and have been very happy with the quality of their product.

I have a full set of the Stoney hoses on my Gen3 at the moment. I didn't install them on my car, the previous owner DVS_MR2 did. But they seem like really good quality so far. Plus a bit of engine bling is always a nice thing!
