I went in the opposite direction, fitting a late model 3-spoke red stitch JDM wheel onto my late 1996/MY1997 Bathurst and there wasn't any issue with the spline size. I did however have to fit the appropriate JDM SW20 'spiral cable', the '4-armed' mount that the spiral cable screws onto, and the steering column shroud that surrounds that.
Presumably, to fit an ADM 4-spoke wheel to a JDM car, you'd need to do the opposite and fit the AMD spiral cable, mount and shroud.
EDIT: BTW, changing those all those bits was only required to keep the indicators 'self-cancelling' and for the horn to work. The ADM wheel and JDFM wheels differ in some ways that affects that.
