Back on the topic of E85, if there are enough barrels and/or jerrycans to go around, then I would definitely be keen to grab 1-2 tanks worth. Normally I fill up with E85 in Sydney before driving down, then I top up with normal fuel in Goulburn which dilutes the ethanol down to about 30% or so. I have flex fuel so it's not a big deal, but of course I'd prefer closer to 85% ethanol if possible. If anyone will have enough E85 to be able to sell me some, then please let me know so I can avoid diluting with normal fuel in Goulburn.

http://www.mr2wpc.com/faq.html " Q - Is E85 fuel available for purchase at the track? A - No. You will need to purchase E85 fuel before the event and carry it to the track in jerry cans. Q - Is E85 fuel available in Goulburn? A - No. The closest E85 retailer is in Sutton - 1542 Federal Highway Service Road, Sutton NSW 2620, which is around 40 minutes away from the track and is close to Canberra."

I know about that United servo, but it's too far from Goulburn to be worth it when I can still rely on my flex fuel sensor and put some normal fuel in the tank.

G'day everyone, Looking forward to meeting you at Wakefield Park. I know this is late notice, but I have a pair of wheels for sale, which I'll bring to the event if you want to have a look at them. They're for an AW11, 4 x 100 PCD, 7" width, and have a pair of still-good TOYO R888 on them, in 205/50 x 15. From memory they're a 30 or 35 offset, which means they tuck under the guard easily: I ran these on the front of mine with no guard modifications (of course, would also fit the rear). They also use standard wheel nuts (supplied). So, if you want some good tyres for the event, come and haggle! -Maudy

DamMR2T Hah love the pics above. Hi Rick, I'll grab one of those cameras too if you can get any more. I'll then have 2 at WTC, if I can get the racecar fixed in time. Just have to sort out the best position for them. Last time I had it on the back window with suction cap, facing forward.
I'm bringing 4 along, 2 are already allocated, so there will be a couple available if you still want one. I'll also have some 16GB microSD cards for $12 if anyone needs them...

Hey Shaz, Pete
I'll be getting there a bit late on Sunday night, arriving around 9PM. Will this pose any problem? Am I still OK to come organise registration in cabin 3 at that time?

B24 The main straight sprint is lazy and not creative. There are many options that could have filled the spot. No Tarmac stage either? Aside from diluting the event, what are you doing? Certainly not something I would have allowed had I not been banned from running the event (I created) by Wakefield Park management after 'taking the fall' for forcing WP to honour the2016 contract with WP. I would like to be there to see my friends but there are others who shown their true colours who I have no interest in seeing. Best of luck to friends and supporters of the previous years. If a workshop is required to get your car back to a interstate location, I can provide a facility to get your car back on the road.
Wow you sound really bitter. Why be so critical of what the organisers have achieved for this years event? Am I being bitter for questioning changes which dilute this event? I find it a joke when people who are quick to judge me when none of these 'old guard' MR2 owners did nothing remotely like this in 30 years of the Marque, with many never showed up or supported this event through it's four years of evolution. If you cannot see constructive criticism, I really cannot explain anything to help you. I say good on them for repairing the broken relationship with WP management and making it happen for all competitors. I never questioned this. I actually supported PG on this endeavour as I did not have the time to secure SMP for 2017 due to work commitments. He is one of very few who have managed a working relationship with this new management. Wish I could attend to check it out but need to return to work on Monday.
It certainly comes across as though you are bitter about the whole thing. Maybe it's just how I am reading your post though? You have no idea so just leave it at that. Why provide "constructive criticism" days out from the start of the event (which you aren't even participating in)? People are no doubt very excited about this event with some coming from interstate to attend. Why you think it's necessary to write such a negative post about it I have no idea. You could have just wished everyone a safe trip and an awesome time? Why are you commenting on my comments then commenting on something you are not competing in and have not competed in? Comments?? If the questioned information was posted six months ago, I would have said the same thing but it was posted last week so I raise it this week. During the MTC years, I often offered public debate on various aspects of the event. Its all documented on this site. Pretty easy to look up.. The event was refined to suit which made it what it was. I'm doing the same thing for the betterment of this event and the current organising group. After spending five years building this event to its current state I have more reason than anyone else to question changes. Is that really that much of a challenge to work out? As for wishing everyone a safe trip, did you ever do that? I have been in contact with numerous people, did my bit on my FB site so I do not need your help in conducting anything. It's fantastic that you started this event many years ago for MR2 owners. Hopefully it continues for many years to come whoever the organiser(s) are. It was more than just starting the event but anyone who was involved in anyway would know that. I expect it will continue at Wakefield Park and people will continue to 'experience' the WPMR2Challenge. Hopefully WP will fix the minor defect on the short circuit so the format will return to its former self. Maybe the event should named in your honour? I know you are trying to be smart with the last statement. You are not smart, you really have no idea. Stick to hard parking.

Good luck everyone. Watch out for the new section of concrete at the 'top of the hill'. It could unsettle the car on entry to turn five which then sets you up for the flag marshals point on the inside of the track. Don't forget the sunscreen. You will be destroyed if you are not careful. Watch out for snakes! I have work Monday/Tuesday but will catch up with a few people on the Wednesday.

This is what you should have posted originally. It's perfect (very helpful and positive) No need to reply to your above post now.

Don't forget. Drivers brief at 8am. If your car hasn't had the tick of approval or you need the day licence, you need to be there at 7.30. Your group number for hillclimb & sprint is on your envelope. Breakfast items in cabin 3 if you need them. Sleep fast. See you in the morning.
