Eric So it seems there is a speed off the streets day on the Wednesday. Anyone interested in doing this as well?
I might sign up if there's a few other MR2 owners who are going

I'm staying for the Wednesday, and i believe Mike and Rob are too. I'm also doing the Trackschool on the Sunday for a bit more fun while i'm there :)

How much was track school? $295 for the day. I thought that since i'm travelling so far that i'd make the most of it. 4 days straight at the track!

Yeah us SA boys are definitely in for the extra day. Previous years the Wednesday has been the topping on the cake after the MTC event. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

For those of you driving from interstate, just an FYI that the Sydney monthly MR2 meet is on Jan 11, the week before WPC. Probably a bit too early, but it's worth mentioning.

Apologies in advance if I have missed an email, is an itinerary available yet? In assume we will be starting with a briefing around 8-8:30am similar to Jan16, however what time can we access the cabins & garages on Sunday + what time do we have to exit the garages on Tuesday and cabins on Wednesday (or Thursday)? I recall reading that a garage is not provided for "Speed off the streets" on Wednesday so tool boxes etc will need to be moved up to the cabins if staying on for the extra day.
Go soothingly on the grease mud as there lurks a skid demon.

Move it forward a week. Doubt anyone would complain. Sent from my F3115 using Tapatalk

Can you let us know the garage allocations prior to the event? This will reduce any hassles on the Sunday afternoon. There has always been confusion in previous years due to entrants not knowing which garage to set up in.

Already in hand. Garages will be allocated and all entrants notified by email or SMS in the week before the event. Same with cabin accommodation, Sharon and I will also be there on Sunday to make sure things run smoothly.

As you were the first person to register (and pay) for the 2017 year's event, we can hardly refuse this request. There is of course a $500 surcharge for number 7

As the event is coming closer by the day, now is the time to ensure that your vehicles are track worthy for the safety of both yourself and your fellow competitors. Things to look out for include significant oil leaks, battery properly secured, body and parts not securely fixed that could fall off, wheel nuts missing, electrical cables sharing accommodation with the steering column universal joints. and frayed throttle cables etc. A good idea too to see that your in car cameras are secured by more than a suction cup (preferably with a secondary tether). Vehicles will be scrutinsed on Sunday evening and Monday morning to ensure our events start at 9.00 am sharp. (Drivers' briefing will be held at 8.00am. Wakefield Park also imposes an 85 db drive by limit measured by equipment some 30 metres infield from the start/finish line. Wakefield Park Management will pull non compliant vehicles off the track until the problem is remedied. Don't spoil your day with a noisy car. Remember to bring your CAMS or AASA licence and helmet approved to AS1698 or higher, long pants, long sleeved shirt and closed shoes. This requirement is the same for drivers and passengers.
