You can ground the ksw pin3 on transponder ECU to test this, without this the antenna on the Aurion ignition barrel does not energise

I did my own wiring and it started first time
When you turn ignition on does the accelerator pedal operate the throttle?

I will try putting it straight to ground and see if that works.

I will also test the pedal

I really appreciate everyone's input. Going to pull some late nights to get this thing working.
If anyone has any ideas, please share them. I'm open to anything at this stage.

If accelerator pedal does operate the throttle then you know the engine ECU is basically working ok.
I was able to test that even before I wired the immobiliser circuit in.
The constant flashing security light is surely a sign the issue is immobiliser related, as I think that works partly independent to what the engine ECU is doing, I know on mine I only have the ksw wire grounded to chassis at the minute as I have not finished my swap but if I disconnect it the security light starts blinking

Yep it works as soon as power goes to the box as far as I am aware

Bring it to MTC on a trailer if you have to.... I'm pretty sure someone will sort it out.... I doubt its a pairing issue, more likely a wiring issue. Was the loom made in Australia or overseas? It's possible that Australian Aurions may have some slight differences in the wiring....

Loom was made in australia with aurion diagrams (aurions were only sold over here)

I have also discovered that dougs ecu etc is not compatible with my harness, some of the wires are different.

I have gone through this loom with a fine tooth comb and cant find any faults. My only conclusion is that its the transponder key ECU.

I have taken it to a locksmith who is going to program in a new key and reset the box. Although it was sold as a matched set it did come from the wreckers so we dont know for certain

Hopefully this works.

What do you all think? Any ideas?

Good luck with the locksmith, otherwise you might need to find a good car thief who knows how to bypass the immobiliser....

Did you manage to get the scanner to connect and read any fault codes.  If you did a least you know you the ecu is functioning.

Yes it could be that the matching has not been done.  A good scanner would tell you that.  Then you would not be working in the dark.

making progress.

The locksmith checked out the immobiliser and key etc and they all match. he put them on his testing board and he can get the immobiliser to disarm.

He told me its most likely the KSW (keyswitch) not having a proper ground.

Will be home in a few hours to try again

None. Immobiliser wont disarm in the car. Even with ksw grounded

Do you have the wiring diagram? If so, can you post all of the pages which are relevant to the ECU, immobiliser and power circuits? Then I could suggest things that you may not have tried yet.

There is an extensive build thread for my car here: http://www.mr2australia.com/mr2play/tm.aspx?m=18316

Might be worth double checking the wiring between the coil amplifier and immobiliser, when I got mine from the wreckers none of the colours on both plugs where the same as the Aurion wiring book I have

here is an extract of my diagrams. this is out of the camry and aurion book. even though it says camry, they share the same diagrams

this has to be a problem in the immobilizer wiring. it runs separate to the ecu and should turn off when the key is near the antenna

i also attached my DLC3 (OBD) port diagram, which i cannot get to work still.

Power is in the correct place and so is ground and CAN
