Thanks Adrian. I'm hoping the engine will be done in the next few weeks. It all depends as to when the HKS parts arrive from Japan. I spoke to the guy in Japan and he told me he's just waiting on one more item.

Just another update:

My block is ready with ACL race bearings, custom forged pistons and my existing Eagle rods installed.

My HKS 1.2mm head gasket, HKS timing belt and APEX'i power intake (replacing my old A'PEXi power intake) arrived on Tuesday. So things will start being assembled very soon.

kameleon: Thanks man. Ian thinks the engine will be in the car sometime next week, so I have my fingers crossed I get the car back very soon

evl_132: Thanks Adrian. I sure miss driving it. It's been off the road since the 25th June but it feels like forever!

lutandorgavero: I bought the A'PEXi Power Intake for 12,800 yen + shipping I'm not sure how much shipping was but whatever it was included the HKS timing belt and head gasket. Perfect Run actually sell the A'PEXi Power Intake for 11,600 yen + shipping so I suggest you go through them.

squigg: Thanks man. I just hope I can keep it clean this time

greddy_es: Thanks man, it's all coming together now!

nic: Thanks man. As kameleon pointed out they are not compatible, however A'PEXi has a Power Intake for all generations of SW20. Prior to my engine rebuild I was running a A'PEXi filter but a SARD EX intake pipe as the importer sent me an A'PEXi power intake for a GEN II MR2. Personally its best to get a kit designed for your generation's engine.

kameleon: So when will I get to see your new paint job in the flesh man?

What's your target for the dyno? Your car will probably go heaps better than it did that time when Trav took me around the block in it!

Mines been off the road since April/May, and Trav's has been off the road since a time when I was just a small boy!

Trav wins [:x)]

So quit your jibber jabber! Fool!
