kkzz0818: I must say I am very happy with the quality of the product I bought from them. I can't say anything about all their other products as I've only seen replicas or their body kits.
I'm assuming the origianl front bar you bought fitted perfectly and is more durable than the replicas?
squigg: I bought three DEFI BF gauges late last year (turbo, oil pressure, oil temp) so I'm thinking of putting the oil temp, oil pressure and another one which I will need to buy soon in the BORDER tri-eye panel and keep the turbo gauge in my GREDDY a-pillar or mount it on the steering column.

Yeah. The original front bar is much better than the replicas. Some common problems with the replicas are: -poor quality fibreglass (makes it harder for the paint to stick to them as they just slouch and droop) -The flat part on top of the Front Bar sags (i'm pretty sure you'll spot this when you have a look at the replicas. It was an eyesore on my old one) -The gap between the bonnet and the front bar increases over time. -Lastly, you might not notice this. I didn't until I actually physically saw the original item, is that it's line and shape is more rounded as opposed to being rugged and sharp. I'll redo a thread in due time and it'll be pretty easy to tell haha. Here's two to show you. Replica: Have a notice of the gap and also the middle part of it at the top. Real: In terms of durability... I don't plan on smashing this one up as It'll kill me haha. But yeah, the other one had many cracks on the bottom of it due to scraping. I'm really careful now as to how to drive it as i cant stand hearing the sound of scraping....

Hi Darius, my mate got it for me in Hong Kong. It was about $30 if I remember correctly. Bought it from a Tom's Distributor too so it wasn't a copy. :( I'll need to take it off soon though because I'm going to get my windows tinted.

Why would you need to remove it to have your window tinted? They do it from the inside, the sticker should be on the outside. They should be adding a line at the top of the front anyway.

The sticker's actually stuck on the inside. So i'm assuming that when they tint my windows, they'll have to remove it which will then ruin it.

kkzz0818: You can really tell the difference between a replica and a genuine Border item! It just reinforces the fact that you get what you pay for. By the way that's a really nice looking SW20 you have there! greddy_es: ha-ha it's okay man. To be honest with you I wanted the genuine Border item and was prepared to pay for it. surok: It makes the car more special when you use genuine parts and not replicas

^ Thanks mate =). Not as nice looking as yours. I like the subtle differences in body styling of the last revision of the sw20s but man that wing.... It SETS the whole car off like wild fire. Not to mention that it's darn rare. CF FTW!!! Also, not even close to being as powerful to yours either haha. =(

kkzz0818: Thanks man . I'm assuming your SW20 is N/A? surok: Not for long! I bought an OEM TYPE V wing recently . I bought my full CF wing back in 2002/2003; I was young and just couldn't justify the $1200 Toyota was charging for them brand new. So I got the CF one from Japan for around $800. The funny thing about it is the side pieces, and spoiler end plates have "TOYOTA" markings on them so the person who produced this wing went into all the trouble of moulding the markings the OEM wing has.
