Cannot wait to see this thing running. I think Adrian should consider something like this too!

Small update: Got all engine fully assembled Flywheel machined, installed & torgued up.... at this point as usual for some reason, I realised I had forgot to install the metal backing plate (needs to be installed before the flywheel)... back off it came :-////! New clutch & pressure plate installed, also didnt think I had a manifold heat shield, so I made some slight cutting / adjusting to an old turbo one i had..... only later to find in my pipe of junk a complete NA one..... again, off it came. :-/// Just finished installig the new thrust / throw out bearing, getting gearbox ready for its date with the engine. Gearbox fully installed, bolted up & ready for craning into the mr2. Oh,, as you can see, installed is the correct NA manifold heat shielding. :-) Whilst inspection engine bay, ready for engine / gearbox, I found the clutch hose was slightly damaged. Have to source another before I install. In the meantime, I fitted a new fuel filter, removed & cleaned the overflow bottle & checked everything else was sweet & ready to go. AND cleaned up the FGK JASMA exhaust system. More to come!

Small Update: Got engine drop in ok. Light work with my 5t ratchet winch & gantry upright. Exhaust fitted up nicely. Onto the eyelids... removed headlight & mechanism, made up some brackets to hold / alight the lids. Rear brake calipers are shot... rebuild time.. Next - Fit radiator, add all fluids, CRANK IT OVER..., rebuild calipers (new seal kits), bleed cooling system, brakes & clutch. More to come!

Update: Radiator fitted & bleed, Strut brace installed & brake system flushed, new seal kits & A1RM pads installed, Wilwood EXP 600 fluid now in system. Front bar ready for install. All bolted up & wiring done for indicators - as I will be putting a 3 day permit on to get some quality run in time before hitting the track. Intake plumbing complete - some custom piping & joiners were needed. Engine kicked over straight away & idles beautiful! (Oh.. no oil or coolant leaks too). Old malested instrument cluster removed.. Second hand one installed & working just as it should. Enkei wheels fitted up, just need to roll guards & its almost ready. Too do: Install seatbeats & harness, paint out interior (black), fit rear strut brace & engine lid, roll guards & test drive. More to come!

Small update: Guards rolled completely flat now :-) Rear strut brace fitted, engine lid guttered, just needs painting now. Last things remaining: 1. Paint inside engine lid, give car a full clean, exterior & interior. 2. Get 3 day permit, wheel align & some engine run in time, bedding of brakes etc. 3. Fix any issues found when running in. (hopefully none). 4. Load onto trailer, ready for track day at Mallala (26th Sep)... testing in prep for MTC 2016. This project is nearly at its end... getting excited about driving it now :-)) More to come.

You can use a celica crank pulley to reduce the amount of overdrive on the alternator. At the very least it will help the alternator live a bit longer at sustained high RPM, at best will free up a few hp.

Just look at Adrian's times and you will soon see how much you can achieve with an NA and some basic modifications.

Looking awesome. With the intake piping, how'd you go about removing the resonator boxes on the top and side? (If you get what I mean)
