seasalt TTR (Toyota Team Racing) is a bit of a joke option.. leather seats, air con, and a badge on the gearshift console... not one real "racing" component involved .... "The TTR Limited Edition MR2 Spyder has the additional features of black leather interior trim, air conditioning and TTR emblem. It has a recommended retail price of $48,988*, which represents $2700 worth of additional value over standard MR2 Spyder." http://www.autoweb.com.au/cms/A_101176/title_Toyota-Launches-TTR-Limited-Editions/newsarticle.html
What's the console look like? When we were looking at buying seen a few Spyders with leather seats so I'm interested in what Pacific to look for cause so many change seats and all oz Spyders came with a/c factory! Does your have a badge like the TTE ones with a limited edition number?

Thanks for the thought.. I'm just gonna hafta go with the wait.. EDIT: 20th March - We are up to- "The ECU worked out OK. no immobilizer key needed. great!! The Traction control and Stability Control lights are on because those system don't work without the SMT. Are you OK for us to permanently disable those lights?. As per prior emails, the car drives as it should and ABS appears fully functional We are working on some small changes to make a better reverse selection "feel". The part i wanted from Toyota is still 10 days away, so we are trying to improvise The tailpipe is damaged/hanging down because the back part of the exhaust has been damaged at some time. i suspect it was due to the extra "low". With your approval i'll sort that out."

A functioning manual, no more SMT... and for anyone wondering about the TTR "badge" on the console: Really just a cheap sticker ... the TTR option wasn't that speshul. "black leather interior trim, air conditioning and TTR emblem" Seems like that TTR badge just went wherever the dealer put it.

My low beam has a bluish tinge and is quite pathetic. I don't know if this is normal, but what can be done to improve low beam? Are there better bulb brands or ?

Chances are the headlight glass needs a damn good polish too. Otherwise, Raybrig globes win :)

Well, the Tein Driving Master Type HA struts are out and a set of CASA EDA struts, secured via member EssDub, are in and I'm stoked at the difference. No more bangs on potholes or surface changes, and feels different to steer... barely higher (15ml more height I asked the installers for, to clear gutter driveways), handles bumps and potholes much better, slightly more nervous but more grip. After driving it home I had a grin from ear to ear. This is without the electronic adjusters.. they should go in 5th June, but hard to imagine them getting much better. I was ready for them to not match my imagining, but its pretty much just what i wanted. Not often results match hopes. My apologies to those who love the low look, but I don't live in a flat city or on a plain... Made at the Sagamihara plant in Kanagawa Prefecture ...
