Hehe thanks. Impulse buy FTW, wouldn't have happened if Nightingale didn't buy his and post them up. I reckon a Phoenix Power lid, CF bonnet and a gen3/gen4 wing would really set it off. Oh and a freakin decent polish lol. Will be picking up a pair of JDM yellow front indicators off MuMan in a couple days so finally I'll have a right indicator that flashes normally instead of being on speed. Does anyone get a squeaky fan belt when driving in the rain?

Just means your belt is slightly loose. Tighten it up and it should be sweet.

Gives me the poo's. It's not just a squeak this thing HOWLS and it's really high pitched. I'll see what happens when I tighten the sucker up.

Gave the car a quick wash and took it to Mt Cootha with a friend and his Evo. I almost want to lower the car a bit more but I wouldn't be able to get into my carport if I did. Front lip clears the carport entrance by less than a finger as it's downhill to a flat surface.
Anywhooo, pics were taken on my phone and have been downscaled a bit.

hey man nice rims, does your tyres touch and go your springs and make that awful sound? my ksports springs so far is hitting my front left tyre so i had to adjsut the springs so its above the the tyre for now. this wednesday im going to bob jane tmart to adjust the rears as it is towed and cambered since installing the springs. as for the front left im going to ask if they can put spacers just so tyres clears the springs, they said its illegal but they didnt say no if not im just going to get the people that fitted my springs to get spacers.

Nope, fitted perfect first go. Was a bit of a gamble as I bought them without testing them off first, but I did a fair bit of research before buying them.

I knew they would fit with my coilovers...didn't realize how close the fronts would come with tyres on though. Only a few mm between the front tyres and the springs on JIC coilovers. They really set the car off nicely. I'm glad you gave me the opportunity to buy them.

MM the rears look really really good with the concaved spokes. Always get looks at the lights, and everywhere else of course :P

So - not really much of a participating member on here anymore. Most of you know I sold my car to a new forum member about 2-3 months ago.

Had a hard time deciding what I wanted. Was back and forth between an S2000 (AP2), 06 STi, Evo8 MR or a 9 if I could stretch it. Nothing seemed to really entice me that much- particular what was on offer at the time. I even had a brief look into Nissan - quickly realized it would be a mistake so backed out of that cul de sac pretty quick.

Settled on an 06 STi. I just love the look of them, the interior and what they can do with very little money invested. My main aspiration for selling up was because I wanted a newer car, something that could "do it all" and with a bit more room. Started scouring the net everyday, joined Rexnet forums and had a look on there. It wasn't until early last week that I saw this pop up. Had been up for a day, 191 views, 0 replies and ticked all the boxes that I had set myself. Long story short - picked up the beast this afternoon and am looking forward to a brilliant, easy and hopefully trouble free relationship.

The only decent pic I have of the car - still looks the same and I was able to scrape the plates off him as well.

Mods on the car include:
JVC Headunit
Hi-Tec TBE - gives the rumble but is pretty quiet even when on boost. Very streetable.
CAI in the front driver's wheel well (stock location)
Dyno tune by JEM I believe - 208awkw
S204 front lip
Powdercoated stock rims on RE070's - 225/40/17 all around
Seems like it has aftermarket strut braces - not all STi's came with these
Tien lowered springs - stock spring rate
Walboro 255lph

Future plans:
Pay off my loan.
Not go broke.
Keep some food in the pantry.
Milk every 2nd week.
Equal length headers - this should rid the rumble anything over idle and make it sound like an angry turbo honda
Re-tune for 220-230awkw.

This forum blows for uploading pics honestly...
