Fredhoon - The price is the main issue. If I can save up another couple hundred then I'm all over the RE30's. I just don't like how they look with a higher offset. They really need some dish to look decent. Still skeptical on the RPF1's as well. Just too hard to make the decision as IMO, wheels really make or break the look of the car.
Vinny - Yes the black pieces in the doors are standard. I THINK they are standard with the leather trim, not too sure on that. In time I'll eventually sell those seats and get some reclinable buckets in there. This thing is turning out to be a track car for the road. I might have to change that and get a second mode of transport and keep it for the track.

Tidy setup, stop working on the car for a while and come on damn run already.
You mean stop getting me to work on his damn car. Every time I touch the thing it severely negates any motivation I am starting to garner to sort out my own car. Haha. Turbo swap that took freakin 10-12 hours. freakin homosexual poo poo. I hate MR2's. James, I have a pair of brand new wilwood 4 pot superlite calipers here I am probably never going to get around to using. I am damn near selling the car off. Let alone putting more money into it. Let me know if you go down that road. Cheers, James.

Haha yea that was an absolute pain in the ass to do. I really appreciate the work you've done though. Now I've got this freaking CEL problem. Puts a halt to things as I've no idea how much this will cost to fix...don't even know what the problem is.

Ok so now I have new rims on the car. Rays 57 Maximum's in gunmetal grey. Bought them off JDMYARD, courtesy of Nightingale on this forum for giving me the details. Specs are: FRONT = 17x8 +33 REAR = 17x9 +38 TYRES = Falken ZE912 215/40 fronts and rears = Falken ZE329 255/40 Also bought Rays Duralumin wheel nuts for $175 +$27 posted from Perfect Run which I couldn't recommend more. Tyres were really just a cheap option at the time as I wanted the wheels on the car ASAP, $175 for the fronts and would you believe $180 for the rears. Centre caps are to come later. I'll probably end up keeping the stock rims and putting some semi slick's on if I want to start tracking this thing. Bob Jane reckoned the rears would scrub severely, I think they sorely underestimated how stiff the JIC coilovers are. Rears sit near on perfect IMO and look tough as nails. The fronts were a touch and go. I was advised there was only 4mm gap between the inside of the tyre/rim to the strut/spring. This proved to be the case but I think it's much closer than that. The inside if the tyre itself has a slight lip on it that protrudes out and it has to be about 1-2mm away from scrubbing on that. So far so good, I'll take the fronts off next weekend and have a closer look. Also had the windows tinted and the coilovers are obviously on as well. JIC coilovers are bloody stiff. It almost seems that adjusting them has little to no effect on the roads at normal speeds. More playing will come once the tyres are run in a bit and I get the brakes and clutch sorted.

looks good mate, reckon you did well with the rims. the stock rim up against the wall has an ironic look to it, it looks dejected!
shame you skimped on the tyres, premium tyres are the best insurance money can buy.

Couldn't afford good tyres. The Falkens should do ok as a street tyre. I'll be keen to test out their ability in the dry. Stock's will end up with semi's on them so I'm not too phased. I had Pirelli Drago's on the front which were barely worn and were extremely hard compound with very little grip. Toyo Proxes4's on the rear which are down to the indicator which weren't a bad tyre at all, save for the minimal tread left on them...very progressive in their feel, piss poor in the wet. Overall I'm happy with the outcome. Looks quite nice in the flesh, very tough. If the weather holds up next weekend I'll probably cut and polish the car and get some better photo's with an actual camera rather than my phone.

Yea that won't be for a while haha. Still got at least 3k left to throw at the bloody thing for clutch and brakes. I need to check the engine mounts or something along those lines as well as whenever I change gears it clunks, not in a gearbox clunk way but as in something is moving when load is put back on it. Does it everytime I reverse, almost when the gear is fully engaged and the full load is placed on something. Also have a slight knocking noise which I can only narrow it down to my rear left driveshaft, has a small amount of play in it. IE; I can move it up and down about 1mm. I'll probably have to repaint the car if I get the boot and spoiler combo done so that's at least a year off.

Those rims look very nice. Any issues with scrubbing? I noticed you haven't lipped your guards too.

Shamanova: Haha yea it looks like a feral dog of the car world. Greddy: The offset isn't perfect but it's near enough. Camber is set to -1deg left and -1.9deg right at the front and rears are -1.7edg left and -2.3deg right for the rears. I'd need to get someone to look at it to change the camber as it isn't adjustable on these JIC's. Nightingale: Bobjane reckon that I'd scrub the rears a fair bit and that the front's wouldn't go on. So I took the rims back home and fitted them myself. The rears are spot on and the front's admittedly are extremely close to the suspension. I'd probably not recommend having an 8" up front due to how close they do sit and I've noticed a lack of feel when turning as well. Probably just down to the fact I've got more rubber on the road than previously. The JIC's are so stiff that I reckon I'd only scrub on the hardest of bumps. I can put my 80kg on the car and it won't move at all.
