Hah I wish that time was N/A. As per my previous post that was with a GZE conversion and cusco pulley making 102.5RWKW. In that setup it would have been good for an easy 1:12 with some non freaked tyres and brakes on it, so I'm hoping for a 1:10 or better once the turbo swap is done and I learn how to drive it all over again haha!! Hopefully I'll be back there for the toymods trackday on may 20, probably wont have money for new tyres by then though, too much else to do first!

I read a lot in the forum but don't contribute, sorry, perhaps I will contribute more as time goes on. I finally got he chance to do a few laps at Symmons plains 2 weeks ago. I private hired the track and spent the day doing laps to learn to drive at angry speeds and to test the car. Its N/A and setup for endurance not sprint. Additionally it has very old tarmac rally tyres tat are pretty hard now. i decided to leave them on, may as well bugger up old tyres as opposed to a new set. Anyway, my best time was 1.13.9. most laps were in the 14's. Last time i was there last year I had fuel feed probs. It was the tank/pump but took 8 months to sort out. At that time i was getting 25's. The car isn't sporting the greatest and latest speed mods. It's kinda nice driving a car that won its class in 1992 12 hour Bathurst with the same gear. Anyway, there you go. Hope to add more stories once i play with my friends at regularity events on club days. BTW i used a full tank of petrol and covered about 65-70 laps. I came off at the end of the straight 5 times. The first time was a big off. I now have a slight sway in the back end between accelate and deaccelorate but haven't had the chance to take a look under it. Anyone have any tips where to look? I suspect a bent something.

Fuel economy sounds very good. Hope I manage something similar when it stops overheating in 5 minutes.. AS for your accident, just have a look at the rear toe links first, then check all the bushes by loading the pivot points with a crow bar to see if the bush is damaged. Hope that helps

Got a 1.15.1 yesterday at Wakefield Park. Same setup as before. I'm sure the car is good for a 1.14.5 or quicker in it's current form. Just need to find improvements with the driving. I reckon 14 flat could be a possibility with a pro driver. Given that, my new long term goal is a high 1.11 once I get coilovers, Advan AD08's and a front swaybar. I may or may not need new tyres for next time. Current tyres still have decent tread but missing quite a few chunks. If I do get new tyres (Advans), I'd be happy with a 13 but we'll see how we go. Lap times and photo's from the day are now up on the circuit club website.

1.11's. Thats a great goal Adrian. Well done on the 1.15.1, so close to cracking the 14's. Do you have any in car footage?

Thanks Steve! Yeah so close... yet so far haha. I think I'm not nearly smooth enough with my inputs. I'm kinda just chucking the car in and as a result it's sliding alot and I need to work quite hard to get a lap time. I think it'll take me a while to work up to a 1.11 but I'm certain the car will be more than capable. I did record a session from the middle of the day. Was doing high 15's or low 16's at the time I think. There's a good spin on there as well! I'll upload it onto youtube when I get around to it. It's on my phone so I'll show you next time we catch up.

Cool, just dont slide it as much and you will get better times. Vinny can confirm that. Look forward to seeing the footage!

Bah! 1.15.1 again!!! A few hundredths slower than last time =(. In my defense, rear tyres were on the wear indicators when I got there (that's my excuse anyway =P). Really slippery in the beginning of the day. Sliding everywhere, spinning every 2 laps (no excuses there, just lack of skill haha) and could only lay down a 1.18. At the end of the day it got much grippier but I still couldn't get that 1.14 I was after. The car could do it, but I just couldn't piece together a clean, neat lap. Will have brand new Kumho KU36 next time and possibly a front sway bar. Will be gunning for 13's.

Wheel alignment and tyre pressures for the track may also help. Track could have been slow too.

Played with the tyre pressures a little bit. Alignment would definitely help. Specifically, I need much more camber especially in the rear. Shoulders are bald. Track was quite slippery as it was the first dry day in weeks so it was pretty dirty and greasy. By the end of the day it was back to normal though.

Got a 1:14.8 at Wakefield. 3SGE, Coilovers and Federal RSR tyres. Can probably get down to 13s with better driving and tyre pressures.
