It's a nice tight track, instead of been a power based track like phillip island or sandown. I have a question for you B24, what speed do you reach down the main straight of EC?? I have a customer at work who's car i am setting up, and he plans to have a go at EC, maybe even for superlap next year, but he is concerned about the gearing in his car not being suitable.

My car isn't all that quick in a straight line with about 200-210kph at the moment.
With more power and speed off the corner that speed will be destroyed.
250kph would be a acceptable figure for a 250+kw atw,1100kg,tightened chassis, aero,36" of rubber MR2. times would be close to 1.40 with the right driver
The gearing would have to be similar to PI.
Hope thats helpful

I think EVO65 is 220-240.

Thats not a bad time for the AW11. I have always had a fear of that track. Not sure if I would push too hard as there are plenty of places you would prefer not to hit. HAve you been to Morgan Park yet?

Was my first time at Lakeside, so still working on my line and braking points. I'm confident I can get down to 1:08's with a few adjustments to the car. I need to dial in a little more rear camber to get a little more rear end grip at higher speeds and to put some new pads and fluid since the current ones are over 2 years old.

I found I only have 3 real braking points on the track, two major ones and a minor one. First major one is the big 160+km/h brake into Karrassel, then the next is a 140+km/h dive into Hungry, while the minor is coming into the Eastern Loop. The rest of the track I'm pretty much full throttle.

I haven't been to Morgan Park yet, but it is on my to do list

Not to bad for an AW11 around lakeside, How are your lines and braking distances around the track because you might find that without adjusting your car you may go quicker and closer to the 1.08 by just changing your style around there its a tough track but poo poo its fun

So 1.08.02 for a first timer at Lakeside would be fairly reasonable?

I'm still hopefull at getting the AW onto a dyno to get a base figure - I have a couple of ideas for improvements, but I need to know where I'm starting from . . .
