I returned from the MTC a couple of days ago, and the Beams was fantastic. After only a few hundred cars around town, i drove it 1820 kms to Goulburn, spent 3 days hooning around the track, drove another 200 kms to Sydney for the Wednesday night meet, then drove it 2020 kms home. The Beams just purred the whole way, didn't use any oil, and averaged about 8ltrs per hundred kms on the trip over and back (used substantially more at the track lol). I couldn't be happier with it atm.

Thanks flypig, it was good meeting you (and everybody else) too. Yeah, that was a great pic (pity they ran out of number 1's lol) I might have to see about buying a few pics in a large size to frame...

For those who didn't see this at MTC or the Sydney meet.... This was my temporary fix for a broken clip lol. I cut a peg and drilled a hole through it, and then screwed it into the base of the broken clip . It actually holds the engine cover support rod really well.

I made an aluminium replacement clip when my plastic one broke ages ago. I should really get a gas strut though.

Professional video man to bad you didn't get a good run due to traffic and flashing orange.

If you get a good strut kit, you'll wonder how you ever managed without it. IMO, engine lid props are ridiculous, and the same goes for frunk lids too for that matter.

That was my first ever session Eddie i improved a lot through the weekend, so i was pretty happy with it :) I was pretty happy with the video, although i'm not sure the indicated speeds are correct, as i get to 100km/h in 2nd and 150km/h in 3rd. Maybe the gps data from the camera isn't that accurate or lags a bit? I used software called RaceRender, which allows all sorts of video and data to be included. It's pretty easy to use. Unfortunately the SD Card on my main camera died before my regularity and shootout sessions, so when i do the videos for them i'll only have the in-car and rear view cameras :( My main camera is the only one that has gps data too....

Yeah, that strut is the product of some serious design and engineering. I got it from a very talented person lol....

Tyres not looking good after a couple of track days at Mallala and MTC2015. I'm just waiting for my 17" wheels to arrive so i can get some decent tyres. Falken street tyres are pretty crap when subjected to track abuse.. Federal 595 RSR's will be the go...

Old shift bushes gone, replaced with DeltaV shift bearings... Result is fantastic, Toyota should have made them like this from the start! Just waiting for the square Bush replacement bearing....
