What requirements are there to participate? Helmets? Clothing? Fire extinguisher? Special licences? I've never been to a track day before, so i need to know the basics....

If it's the same as last year, you don't need a fire extinguisher or a special license. At most, you might have to get an AASA license at the event like most people do (all you have to do is fill in a form and pay a fee, IIRC it's about $50).
Most of the guys have helmets, but there would probably be some spares.

Done some forms testing with Rob K and we found that spam filter was blocking the confirmation email. It looks like it might be a safe option to just add info@ultimatetrackdaychallenge.com.au to your whitelist / safe list on your email spam filter.

Carmikey, I have updated the site as well as the MTC thread. Dates are the 12-13th of January. Simply could not get an earlier date. Also working on a few more tracks for you guys.
Rick, you can buy a CAMS speed license online which can be used. This is a good option as you can log the event under your license. If you need any help is preparation, talk with Carmikey and his crew as they are quite experienced and a great bunch of guys 'to boot'. There are also a few threads in the race/rally section which can help you with prep.

Who is interested in seeing one of the Bathurst 12hour/Bathurst 24 hour cars at the trackday? Looks like it may be there along with Colin Osborne/Neil Trama and Ric Shaw. If Ric does show up, he will be taking my car (yes it will be working..) out to see just how fast it can go. This will be a sight to see.
Paul Brell is back to provide two days of mechanical services as well as a few laps in his personal SW20. If you are coming along, best to see Paul for some quality race prep.
