Just thought I'd post a few pictures of our trip to MTC 2015.... Wow....What a blast!

1st pic taken at Hay, one of our many fuel stops.

This is what the weather was like almost the entire trip over... some 1200kms.

I was nice to finally arrive & see some beautiful examples of ultra clean original mr2's (Thanks to Doug & Rick).

Then it was time for some track drivin.  The MTC this yr was a huge turn out, soooooo many mr2's & various other cars.

I had to sit behind my all time favourite sports car... (A massive thanks to Phil for the passenger ride).

The trip came to an end very quickly, way to early but nevertheless our stop off overnight just out of Wagga.

Got home, ripped out my cracked downpipe, which blow out on the first day (Monday) - but saw my thru the entire event including a full day on the track on Wednesday, chasing down people like Luke in his mad Corolla, Steve, Rob & Rick.

Also found I had a crack in my throttle body hump joiner.

Cant wait till next yr.  Thanks again Steve & everyone that made the event such an blast!

Hey Glenn, I just noticed that all of your times were very impressive...except the shootout. Did you spin out during the hot lap shootout when it started raining?

There is an extensive build thread for my car here: http://www.mr2australia.com/mr2play/tm.aspx?m=18316

I actually came first on the short circuit. Daniel's best time was dodgy. His best lap was actually a 39.99 and this was what his lap timer said, so he came 3rd. It's not possible to do a single lap 6 seconds faster than all the others

Yes the shootout was a shame. I was hoping for a top 3 outright, and was on track for it with top 4 results in all 5 events until the shootout, though the combination of tyres down to the wire and rain wasn't a good recipe for good lap times. If it was dry, I reckon I would have been able to do a 1m12s at worst and kept my place. You can't complain about weather.

Maybe we can use a points based system next year, Steve? Hint hint

Wasn't me driving but I made the same comment.  Not a swear word in sight and a quick glance over his shoulder to see where the tyre wall was before restartng and then waiting for a tow out of the sand trap. First words when he came back were a softly spoken "Sorry Pete" followed by half an hour with the hose under the car.

Rain hasn't been measured in points since 1974. Always in mm these days. Was bad luck for you though. Your car looks great. Goes good and you drive it well. Chat to the guy in the mirror. He knows how well you went. Congratulations

Another fantastic year and a great time from everyone except maybe those with serious car woes. Shout out to organisers as always and Geoff Fear for re-soldering a broken connection causing rough running and power loss on the lolvo.
