You can get towbars for ST205's, I remember seeing one somewhere!

My educated guess is they bolt up to the chassis rails up right underneath the rear bumper, and then the towball section drops down between the bumper and fuel tank, will need to cut the rear bumper though I believe.

I needed to do something similar to fit a towbar on my old car (not an ST205). Bumper, rear mufflers, shock absorber bumper strip all came off, then the shock absorber mount points were reused for the towbar.

Update:

I spent the weekend at the Wakefield 300 with some time spend rallying a few people along to the trackday.
Looks like the guy who does media for Wakefield Park will be the commentator for the trackday challenge. If you happen to watch Speedweek, you will recognize his voice. He has commentated the Bathurst 12hr/Wakefield and Winton 300 and a whole bunch of other events. I am also in discussion with Racer Magazine for photography and a possible write up for the magazine.

I'm in for 2015.
But since I'm a newb to the MTC, I'll be try'n to keep it simple. One track at a time is enough for me!

and 5th to 6th is better for me, (I'll probably need some extra days off work for that anyway to make the trip back home.)

I do too! He is far more accommodating than the guy I was talking with in 2012. The guys from Race Magazine approached me at the Wakefield 300 after the morning warm up session due to some great photo's of the car I was driving. As usual, I was selling the track day to the guys and hope to see someone come along. Also need to talk with Fast Fours to see if they are interested in coming along.

Great to see another interstate owner joining in. The best advice and can give is to watch some of the footage of the various tracks we use for the two days. There are four layouts which is enough for the two days.
The 5th and 6th are the set days for the trackday so all good to go. Talk with Aaron about travelling to Wakefield in convoy. Also better give James a push!

Just an update for everyone:
I have refreshed the information pack with updates to the format, classes, point structure, track layouts. There is a bit more to be done but almost there.

Also discovered that Wakefield Park may be doing repairs to the track on the same week of the trackday so I have yet to confirm the dates. I am trying to push the event to the Sunday/Monday so they can fix the track on the Tuesday-Friday. No doubt, a Sunday/Monday meet will be of benefit to everyone so will have to wait a few weeks before confirmation. One thing for certain, the following week is out due to the historic racing so we are running the Sunday/Monday or Monday/Tuesday. Best to put your request for time off for this period.

If there are anymore photo's and footage, can people send a link to download so a promo clip can be made? If anyone wishes to try show off their skills with desktop publishing or movie making, show us what you can come up with.

Sunday/Monday sounds good to me.  I could stay to watch the Chilli Challenge, lol.

Might get more spectators as well, at least for 1 day.

Hey Steve,

No hesitation in saying I'll be there too!
We in S.A had an AWESOME time last time, and another day or two would make it even more worth the drive worth the drive!
I went around the week after coming home and there's a fair few people interested in going next year!
Hopefully we can have some non-Toyotas (blasphemy, I know, but some people I know don't drive them, but are super keen), and if so, I reckon we could manage an easy 6 people. I know Mike, myself, Luke and one or two of my friends are definitely wanting to go, but may even get a few more.
We'll see.

I have plans to do an engine swap this year. I'll effectively have a full Bathurst MR2 in a Gen 2 shell.
I also have plans to actually finish the event this time!

Reserve a spot for me! We'll see how many more we can muster to make the S.A side a force to be reckoned with!

I'm hoping to be able to go too, so that will be 1 more from SA. I haven't had any real track experience, but I'd like to give it a go.

I'm not out to set any records or do anything special (my SW20 is pretty much stock with road tyres), I just want to have a bit of fun in a safe legal environment. It's a 2000km drive for me to get there, but i think it'll be worth it. Not much opportunity to have any fun around here - the roads are all straight lol, and the nearest track is 800kms away.
