Just entered
Can't wait to unleash 87kw of big port awesomeness out on the track.
I have got a bit of work to do between now and then though......
I also had some trouble trying to pay for an extra nights accommodation on PayPal.
See you there

Yes I know about the paypal issue. At this stage you need to place two separate orders.
Good to see you are coming on board. After spending time with the Toymods crew at WTAC, it looks like they will be coming onboard at MTC which is a plus.

Hello Rick,

Sorry for the late reply. Accommodation is per person.

Cheers

Its good to see entries trickling in so there is a good chance we will make 30 entries which takes a lot of pressure off myself (in a financial manner). Looks like the S.A. guys will have a strong contingent coming over in 2015. I will certainly be returning the gesture by spending time at their local track in 2015.
A few people have asked if cars other than Toyota's are eligible for entry and the answer is yes as over the last two years this has been the case and it will continue in 2015.
I did manage to speak to a few drivers from the Australian Hillclimb Championships over the weekend but with little interest in running at MTC. It is unfortunate but there is still a chance a few of the open wheelers will be there. More on this as it comes to light.
A big thankyou to Aaron, Peter, Kate and Sharon for their help working together to make sure this even works smoothly in 2015.
Only 8 weeks to go so the sooner your entries are in, the better!

The info pack has just been updated.
The schedule is also about to be released with improvements to track time on both hillclimb and tarmac layouts.
If we can get a car out every 30 seconds on the tarmac stage(as planned), we will manage over 300 movements divided by 30 entrants which allows 10 'runs' per driver. This is quite a boon for those who enjoy the tarmac stage.
Wakefield Park has confirmed the Historic meeting will be held the week after MTC which will free up the cabins and garages for us on the Sunday.
So it's getting close now. Hope to see more people get on board to make this unique event where social and track orientated drivers are able to converge together for a two day event, an ongoing success.

Hey Steve,
Hopefully got 2 recruits for you - Cameron returning (Skyline GTS in 2013, now R33 GT-R) and "Tuban" from these forums ('91 turbo).
Really looking forward to it!

Only 8 weeks to go.
Get your registrations in so Steve can organize things with a better idea of numbers.
As someone who has been involved in organizing events I know how much easier it is to schedule things & work out costs when people register early.  I know for some with work commitments that vary, it might be difficult to put things in the diary,... but for everyone else,...waiting to see if something else more interesting might happen isn't a good enough excuse...............
As someone who doesn't compete, I still had a great time last year.  So don't let that stop you.  The social side is great & the passenger rides..............  wooohoooo . haven't had an adrenalin rush like that since I can't remember when............. corkscrew roller coaster as a teenager comes to mind.  The cost as just a cruiser is great.  And (correct me if I'm wrong Steve), but I think there are 3 options this year.  Full competition, Cruiser & then there is one in the middle for those who want to go a bit quicker, but not compete.
Looking forward to another great couple of days.

You are more than welcome to take my passenger seat on the 2nd day if interest
but I am probably one of the slowest driver on the track

The event is getting close now, I can't wait!
Lucky for me, I have nothing to do on my car before the event apart from changing the oil and brake fluid.

There is an extensive build thread for my car here: http://www.mr2australia.com/mr2play/tm.aspx?m=18316

If people are interested in getting a cheap GoPro3 clone, HobbyKing Australia have the Turnigy ActionCam for $99.

http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__68681__Turnigy_HD_ActionCam_1080P_Full_HD_Video_Camera_w_Waterproof_Case_AU_Warehouse_.html

There is also a wireless version, but it needs to come from their international warehouse.
