I just realised that the Sydney monthly MR2 meet will be on the 14th, the night after MTC. The same thing happened this year, good coincidence :-)

I wonder if you could change the location of the meet to a location further south? This would save a few 100 km's for the interstate guys.
We will be at Marulan on the Wednesday till 3.30-4pm, but it's really up to the everyone else what they would like to do.
If they are keen to drive some more, the Sydney guys/NSW Club could organise a drive around Olympic Park, do a lap of the V8SC race track , a cruise across the Harbour Bridge then drive to Cremorne Wharf for a great view of the city would be a treat for people driving so many km's to be on the East Coast. There is plenty of room and lighting at Cremorne Wharf to hold a meet. Anyhow, just a thought!

That sounds like a great idea!
How much will it cost to join you at Marulan? I'd be interested in tagging along...

Certainly does sound great Steve.  Hopefully it can be organised just as you have described.

Pending the completion of our current project, complete with a few 'Aussie firsts' we might bring it over from Adelaide for the trip.

Yes, it would be a great cruise. Will see what I can muster up.
Marulan, depends on the entries for the MTC. If we get over 30 entries I can subsidise a day at Marulan so it could be from $60-$110. Opens at 9am till 4pm, driver training available, don't forget to fill up! Its 90 minutes from Sydney so we can have a trackday then cruise to Sydney to meet the Sydney guys who could not make it to the trackday. Unsure about accommodation on the Wednesday but you should be able to find a room for $100 a for the night.

Stuka has just informed me he has booked his ferry ride from the Emerald Isle (Tas) to the mainland for MTC 2015. Great to see our favourite Irishman will be back!

I will spend some time with you (Chris) in the next week as I have a few idea's and footage I would like to run by you.
After time with Peter last week we came up with the idea of video's to help people get 'up to speed' and preparation for the event. Also need to ease the nerves of some who question going to the track as opposed to 'risking it'  on the roads. Pete made a good point, 'the entry is equal to a medium range speeding fine + $20' but you hit 180+km/h over 50 times with no risk of hitting trees, oncoming traffic, wildlife or radar detectors!

Also great to see there are 8 entries already plus myself (even if I only get a few laps..).

The pricing varies but you can still take advantage of the 30th Anniversary offer of $390. Additional nights accommodation are an extra. A third day of driving at Marulan on the Wednesday will be available. Cost for the third day will be $110 unless we get 30+ cars.
If you still have the enthusiasm, I can arrange another drive day at another Hillclimb north of Sydney or may be able to slot us into a trackday at Eastern Creek but this will cost close to $300 for the day.
There is a historic car festival on the Sunday which is worth having a look at.

Thanks for getting on board!
