V6 turbo installed, though turbo still only in mock up/dress rehearsal;  will be cleaned and spruced prior to full shebang...

So... Finally, the project is 95% complete! *rapturous cheers*!!!

Here are a few pics of the last few days/weeks work:

Shows the engine installed with the "modified" TRD rear strut brace which had to be returned/changed for a standard - Thanks to Dlymrt (again) for this!

Another view from the same day, air intake and filter pipework not connected

Final fitment of the complete custom exhaust system with magnaflow muffler

Final fitment of the exhaust system, quad twins

As they are installed, TRD sway bars on show too

Hard to make out, but I had to legally be stood some 15m back from the tuning bay (in case something blew up!) -

And the finished engine bay, a day after tuning for some final tweaks :)

Massive thanks to Tristan, Matt and Marcus - though it took longer than anticipated, at the end of 2012, the lads pulled together to get it done, after some prompting(!!), but these things take time, and the results are outstanding.  The first time we took it out, Tristan knew what he was dealing with - I on the other hand was not prepared!  Thinking I'd bitten off more than I could chew, the power delivery and sheer brutal acceleration is outrageous! Needless to say, after a day's driving on my own and feeling it out, I'm now super satisfied

Cheers
Daz

Suppose I should show some results of the track tune ...

We could only run boost to 12PSi as there is an issue with my AVCR boost controller, evident in the green trace, which rises then plateaus at 12PSi.  My current unit is freaking out a bit and I need a new/replacement one (any suppliers?! PM me...), but the grunt of the V6 is undeniable, and when boost comes on, you know about it.  "Wall of torque" springs to mind - I now know the difference (and my preference!!) on BHP and Torque figures, and their relative practical importance :)

Cheers

Very tidy engine bay for something so custom.
So its making about 300KWs at 12PSI? How much boost are you planning to run with a new controller?

Very nice work there mate. It looks the goods and will certainly go like a cut snake.
Are you planning on any trackdays?

This has been an amazing build!  I can't wait to see final figures when the boost is higher.
Clearly, no expense has been spared for this and it deserves all the praise it gets.
One awesome car Daz!!
