Marin's 1989 SW20 JDM Turbo Mr2

Hi pretty new to the scene and after owning an ADM GT pre kids, 3 kids later I've decided to grab another one.

Picked it up 10th September from a guy who just ran out of time to keep on going with it.
His description of the car when he purchased it was "pretty average" and neglected.

Its a bit rough in some areas especially dash and gauge set up and has 160,000 km on it but definitely worth making good. I've changed fuel filter, plugs, oil and oil filter. Got a mechanic to flush cooling system and run a compression test too. Mechanic loved car and said he forgot about the mr2 and now wants to buy one.

Previous owner got as far with the mods as follows:

Full fujitisbu exhaust leglis r
Apexi intake
Turbo timer
Hks Bov
Hid
Rev 3 rear lights minus the reverse lights
Cream Leather interior
Nardi wheel
Real bbs wheels 17x8.5 and 8s
Slotted an cross drilled rotors all round
Bigger side mount cooler
Manual Boost controller
Coilovers
Heli Braided brake lines
Fresh paint
Carbon wing
Snorkel
4x guages water oil tmp oilp pressure and AFR.

Want to go back to original interior as cream leather isn't really my thing though. So will be putting the set including seats, middle storage and glovebox up for a sale soon.

Haven't really taken too many pics will try to upload some soon.

Rims are cool, wing looks interesting, anymore more pics of it? Can't really see what's going on there.

Must be good to be back into an mr2, how's it feel?

Yeah just got back from holidays and really haven't taken any good photos. I don't like the wing...previous owner said there was no wing when he purchased it and he had the carbon one lying around. Holes are still in the boot but not in the side panels.

After driving a few Turbos this one definitely spooled the best and was smoother then the others. Mirrors rattle a bit nothing a couple screws won't fix. Not used to the bov but I like it.

Looks like a tidy base to start with. Welcome back to the midship life!

Hahaha. Yeah not really....more like EOI.

Taking it to MRC in Castle Hill to for a power run this week and look at some options from there.
