Vacuum Transfer Valve...

Hey everyone,

Just wondering if anyone has a spare vacuum transfer valve (small white valve on bypass/blow off assembly) that I could buy.

Thanks

Buy new from amayama or partsouq is about $50 delivered ‭9092501059‬ not sure what a local Toyota dealership would charge.

Thanks Tony, did see that but $50 for such a small part seemed excessive so thought I'd try my luck.

Unfortunately it's not as simple as a one way valve, it's a slightly more technical part than that

I'm currently using one now and it works perfect for years now.

That's interesting. From what I've read air needs to be able to bleed out so if you use a check valve, you would also have to install a bleeder valve that will let pressure escape

Maybe we are thinking of a difference value, Do you have a picture?

I have read the same also - I have read multiple opinions online saying that you are best off using the Toyota OEM part and not cheaping out. Is $50 really worth it in the long run?

However I will note that my VTV broke while I was doing my valve cover gasket (was soft and brittle) and I picked up some random one-way check valve from my mechanic. I have not noticed any performance differences however I did notice that my car has a mini-flutter now surprisingly.. has been like this for several months with no running issues. Will eventually put the Toyota one back in (ordered new from Amayama) but I like the child-ish sound for now

Yeah I agree but was curious to hear experiences/thoughts.

And the flutter would make sense as the bypass valve is probably not opening/functioning as suddenly, hence the flutter
