Somehow I don't think I need anything that big then.....

Will be watching Steve's setup with great interest.

I thought a side mount would be the best way to go considering FMIC isn't really an option here

Is that a RacerX valve cover or did you just have yours modifyed?

That is a racerx valve cover but its on their car, this is a pic of their test fitment all done in the US.

There are a few options for intercooling, the most popular are side mount, trunk mount and water/air. I didn't want to cut up the chassis to do a trunk mount and I also didn't want the added weight of water/air, so I went with the side mount.

I currently have a Berk sidemount which is very similar to the Greddy and whilst its been great they are maxed out around 350hp. I'm aiming for 350-400 so I need to upgrade. Racerx has developed a large core sidemount that is nearly twice the size of my current setup and should be good for the extra power. You can see here how much larger it is:

I'll also be running 50/50 water/meth injection which will also help cool the charge, and an IC sprayer so heat soak will not be an issue :) Tossing up between an alcohol/water spray or a CO2 spray atm.

At least you have your plans sorted out. I'll have to keep all this in mind if I ever end up getting a snail-powered engine

What's the racer x side mount rated at?

It the complexity of the w2a that's a pita for me. ie running lines securely, mounting it all. Dunno what um complaining about, it's finished but anyway.

Looks the goods BTW.

Being a relatively new kit a HP limit hasn't been posted yet, when going over options with Jeff at RacerX we were going off my goal of 400hp which he believes it will be good for. How much more on top of that it could be capable of I don't know, but it was designed for builds 350hp and over.

Flow wise a Greddy sidemount is rated at 253 CFM while the RacerX is rated at 673 CFM.

Did you put your own w2a setup together or get a kit? I was toying with the idea of making a w2a setup using laminova cores but the $$$ to do that was more then I could afford atm.

I originally got a pwr barrel kit but have replaced it bit by bit with a precision pt900 being the last piece to replace.
