That really is a good price. Will definately see them when getting my recaros retrimmed later in the year at that price may do it sooner! Thanks for the details. Was that $500 just the seats or were the door trims included in that price?
Read back on this thread and you said something about extending the rear centre panel "...extended rear centre panel so the tail lights aren't so recessed at the back...." been trying to find pictures of something similar on the net but havnt come across anything - is this idea still going ahead?

$550 was for door cards, seats, centre console, and pillar box; dash was $250, and I paid him an extra $50 to do my gear gater cos it needed a spruce up;
The extension was an idea of Brandon's we talked about, bringin the line of the rear lights out to the corner of the car; I decided against it as the project was progressing - but I'm sure Bruce is eminently capable - the guy's a top bloke (cahnt!) and knows how to make car mods.

Something very wrong with the dates shown here for posts - posts go up to March 30th 2011 (which is correct) and then revert back to January 4th 2011 (which is wildly incorrect); In a seperate discussion in another thread http://www.mr2australia.com/MR2play/tm.aspx?&m=47815&mpage=3 the date selection to show topics has to be set to 180 day in order to see this entire topic. On the one hand the 11 pages DO contain the entire migrated topic, but the dates are now incorrectly shown... hopefully this pot will sort out the timing... Cheers

Pic 30. see the little gap between the leading edge of the door and the guard, my widebody throws little tiny stones out through here and they collect of the side skirt, then when your open the door it can scratch. Might just want to ensure that little stones can't get up here from the front or that the door is just high enough that they don't get dragged across the paint. Looks good, I like your personalisations to the TRD kit. Colours your choice of course but I want to see a white widebody one day, maybe I should build one (No freaking way that's ever going to happen though...)

Well, it's been a while, and I've been away for 5 weeks in the UK.. BUT! The update goes a little somethig like this... So the guys at Fibrevision in Welshpool have officially split. For whatever reason (and I will keep my persona;l opinions to myself as much as possible), this has been on the cards for some time. However, the last word I had from the paint side of the operation (the outgoing party) was that my car would take 8 weeks to completion, hence should have been about ready this week. Unfortunately, and not at all to my surprise, the car had barely been touched. No fault of the body work personnel, which was finished some two months ago. Unfirtunately this is the latest in a long line of bullstuff, let downs and false dawns, which has disappointing given the openness and obvious efforts other individuals have put in, not least of all myself! The upside is that the operation is to continue with a new business owner/paint/panel beater of excellent stock - highly professional - who has guaranteed the vehicle will be finished on 10th June!! Yeeaassss!!!!

well, as a wise man once said to me "You can't make an omlette without breaking some eggs"; 3 weeks to completion though, just hoping it's all gonna have been worth it. I've overhauled pretty much the entire vehicle; bodywork, interior, wheels, suspension, brakes. Just gotta keep on going and hopefully I'll have a (legal) car worth the wait. And then the turbo V6 goes in...

ep·ic [ep-ik] –adjective Also, ep·i·cal. heroic; majestic; impressively great: the epic events of thewar. This car is exactly that and more... Awesome work mate. For giving it a go from the first few pages I am sure the experience of fitting and adjusting your own bodykit outweighed more than just the cost saving. I'd be proud as punch. I am looking forward to next week :)

Cheers mate! Yeh am getting a little flustered now, knowing it is going to bee done very soon. 18 months since I set out with some gaffa tape and some ill-fitting bits of fibreglass! The plan is to put it on a flatbed truck and send it to Tristan at WTF for a full check over and service before it hits the pits for rego. We've had a word with an experienced pit inspector and on the conversation so far he forsee's no dramas with getting her back on the road legally - once it's back driving I can submit my application to pursue a fully certified V6 turbo engine conversion to give it what it deserves. Appreciate teh positive feedback like mate - Thanks again! Alway gives a little encouragement to read others have been watching my project grow :)
