Brake lights

Hey guys anyone have any issues with their brake lights staying on. I pulled and cleaned the sensor from the brake lever but wasn't that and from what I can see the mechanism is making contact with the brake pedal. Any ideas would be helpful?

Thanks

I'm going to take a punt and presume you've got an SW?  This is a reasonably common problem, and involves the plastic spacer between the pedal arm and the switch dying of old age.  Prepare for a yoga exercise, crawl up and take a look - be prepared to be horrified!

Dennis, yeah sw sorry. And after looking there is no plastic spacer there anymore and found a few pieces of plastic on the floor so that'll be it. And yeah almost threw a shoulder out trying to get under there a handful of times. Thanks ill have to get one ordered in appreciate the help.

The same thing happened to me a few years back and I stuck  small piece of cardboard as a quick fix to hold me over until I got a new spacer. I actually forgot about it until I saw this thread so there still a piece of cardboard down there and its been fine for nearly three years!!
