What do the handles feel lije? Do they have the 'locked' feeling or have no resistance at all? Id make sure the door lock button on the drivers side isnt on (lol) the take the door card trim off from inside... You'll be able to see whats going on then.

It has the locked feel. Passenger side works. Has been sounding a bit squeaky the last couple of days. Can't work out how to get the door card off with the door closed.

Didn't think of that... Good point. Sounds like the lever inside the door has come off the locking mechanism. I assume you've tried the key. Maybe try taking the door cup off and have a look there

Yeah it will lock & unlock with buttons & with key, just won't open. Hoping someone at the meet tomorrow night might be able to fix. Otherwise maybe a panel beater??? She's booked in to mechanic on Wednesday to get oil leak fixed, don't think they'd be too happy about doing the "Dukes of Hazard" jump in. In the mean time driving a white ADUB thanks to Simon (SCZ).

Haha... It would look funny, mechanics climbing in and out through the passenger side. Ok - got a few more ideas. Can you hear the dock lock if you lock it? If not, then it is stuck on locked... And you'll need a locksmith. But try opening and holding both inside and outside handles (need someone else to help) and try pushing on the door... Mechanism may be just stuck. If you need any door parts let me know as I have a spare door, and you can have any parts off it for pretty much the postage of them... Im never going to use them.

It has been suggested taking the roof off & jumping in the drivers side, lol. Could be easier than climbing over inside the car. Yes it sounds like it is doing all the right things. Looks like it's doing all the right things. Ok, I'll try the 2 handles & push tomorrow night. If that doesn't work, maybe NRMA could get it to open. Thanks for the offer of the parts, I'll let you know.

Doesn't sound promising. Sounding more & More like it will be cutting into the door card to get at the problem. Anyone got a blue one laying around that they don't need?

try getting some pallet strapping and try releasing the lever at the mechanism itself like you would if you were trying to break into a car. maybe try spraying wd40 as best you can on the striker mechanism first.

Dudeman Duke of Shazzard?
HAHAHA. Good meet tonight. Altho try as they did, it couldn't be fixed. Went for a drive. Stopped a couple of times. One for only 2 minutes. I'm sure they just wanted to see me jump out & back in again. Ah well, off to the panel beater tomorrow, to see if he can do something.

Before you spend money at a panel beater try this! > Pull out the door handle and undo cup screw > From here you should be able to feel if the plastic door lever is connected to the metal door opener rod (I assume it wont be) > Pull the rod with pliers and the door should open unless you have a serious problem > Once doors open take off the door trim and find your problem > Have a beer because a sixteen year old teenager most likely just saved your money from a panel beater (:

still gotta do the Dukes of Hazard climb in & out. Panel Beater managed to move the trim/card so that he could see inside the door. Can't work out quickly what is the problem & he ran out of time. But at least someone else might be able to see in there & see what the problem is. He thinks it might be the lock itself. He didn't charge me anything either. Talked to the mechanic she is going to tomorrow, thinking they probably wouldn't want her in that state, but said they would climb in to move her to the workshop, etc.

Seems to be the latch not letting go. Lock is working fine. Rods moving all ok. :-(
