I've used e-go numerous times and had no issues.  Quite often cheaper then Australia post and can ship bigger things (ie, engines etc if you palletize them).

+1
I use them all the time (multiple hundreds of times) and have never had a problem.
They do unattended pickups from your door and in many cases are cheaper than Aus Post.

What would be the best option to send a half cut, door to door, from Brisbane to Sydney? Or possibly door to Sydney Depot.

I had a look at them but it doesn't look like there's an option for oversized bulk pallets. The rear clip will be wider than a standard pallet and I can't find a number to call and ask.

Edit: Just got a quote for "express freight". 170x150x150cm 500kg. Quoted over $3000! Don't think that sounds right...

I
have had issues where I had item out waiting and they did not collect it then wanted a reattend fee paid. And right now I am awaiting info on a missing parcel from Ego. I had three items picked up from same address in Sa. One turned up one day , another the next. I contacted them and after a few emails they found it and promised next day delivery. Didn't turn up so contacted again they said I would have to pay extra for delivery as they had been out twice, I told them it was their fault and they said would deliver. Now they have lost it again and haven't heard what is happening.???

Yep be careful with e-Go. I have had a bad experience with them as well where they lost a pair of AW11 Whiteline sway bars. The investigation dragged on for months with about 30 emails sent back and forth with no phone number to call. You literally can't speak to someone even if you wanted to.
If you are going to use them MAKE SURE you pay for insurance. There is no free included insurance.

I have used them hundreds of times and have never had an issue. Maybe the local crew is better than in other areas?

I think you've just been lucky like I'm sure many other people have.

Mine was a shipment from WA to NSW. Went missing just after it left WA somewhere.

Adrian, could you use/borrow/hire a vehicle with a towbar and drive up to QLD to pick it up yourself? Obviously need a trailer but you could hire that as well. Would be a good road trip with another mate sharing the driving.

If E-Go manages to lose half a car, I'd be pretty unimpressed.

I hadn't considered driving up there myself. Not sure if I'm up for a return trip but I'll look into flying up, hiring a vehicle from Coats hire or something and returning it in Sydney.

FYI E-go no longer accepts large car parts, wheels etc.
I had a recent very bad experience with them and I will never use them again.
I was not able to get my money back because they wouldn't respond.
