Bolt in cage to suit sw20 targa top
Just wondering if these exist, would definitely like to have one

They do, but you can have one made which will be better than the bolt in options. Most bolt in cages are secured to the floor pan which can be a waste of time. You need one which is secured to the top of the chassis rail. If you have one made for the car, you can specify this.

Of course you do Dylan, haha forever the bane of bank accounts existence, will I still be able to put the targa glass behind the seats? And is through the dash or underneath the dash type?

Unless its just for show, please make sure any cage you get adheres to relevant regulations (ie, cams etc) else you might find yourself needing to make alterations etc.

Thanks for the reminder Tots, the car will be seeing a couple of rounds of drift prac, and a run or two down the strip before it goes to paint, so I will either make sure it adheres or just remove it

Not sure if you saw the photos but it goes aroudn the dash. Doesn't really affect the space behinde the seats so you should still be able to store your glass there.

Theres no why that 'cage' will comply with CAMS and will have NO safety improvements, infact it will actually be more unsafe to have that cage then not have one at all. As said above, if its a street car for occasional track then get a properly built to CAMS spec half cage, either bolt in or weld in and as said Travis said, maybe contact Eckers. Just to show some examples, as B24 said most bolt in cages bolt to the floor and requires a spreader plate under the floor pan, in a roll over these can just rip through the floor as shown here;  Now compare that to what B24 said about if there bolted to the chassis rail, or imagine if you has a full weld in welded to the chassis rail, that above would not happen. Also this bellow was a full weld in roll cage, but just to show why CAMS now requires the 'windscreen support' bar or FIA bar. Now there's not many trees at a race track, but for the targa people things can be alot worse.

Cage is being made up for my drift S13 at the moment, will get a quote for one for 2 while they're at it, know it sounds wanly, but it's a street car and mostly for **** factor

Getting a cage made for the car is such a small investment compared to many other aspects of the car and one of the better ones that provides performance as much as safety.
They can be made with removable intrusion bars so you can use it on the street.
Never fit the cage to the floor pan. Great find by widemr on why 'not' to bolt a cage to something as thick as the cardboard your cereal is packaged in.
