1MZ immobiliser help / wiring diagrams SOLVED

hey guys,

i'm in the middle of a 1MZ swap into an sw20, and i'm currently stuck on the immobiliser wiring. the motor is out of a '97 MCV20 camry. the immobiliser unit has a 12 pin connector.

i haven't been able to find a complete FSM with wiring diagrams that match my ECU. i've found a copy of the engine control section that matches up, and i've done most of the wiring from this. it doesn't include any information on the immobiliser though.

the only information i have is from a gregory's manual that tells me there's 2 wires going from the immobiliser to the ECU (out and in, a yellow and a yellow/black wire), but there's no other info regarding the wiring of the unit itself. these two wires are visible on the plug, but there's a total of 9 wires on the 12 pin connector. i'm assuming i don't need all of them.

in short, does anyone know how to wire up the immobiliser on this motor? failing that, has anyone managed to find an FSM with the right diagrams for the AUDM 1MZ camry? i've tried a whole bunch of places, short of going to toyota themselves.

i've been digging through an online source looking through a few similar 1MZ equipped cars too, with no luck. it appears the USDM cars use either a different immobiliser unit with a 5 pin connector, or a more complicated theft deterrent ECU in the lexus's etc.

if anyone could help me out or point me in the right direction that would be great. i can supply any other information relating to the car/wiring if it helps anyone help me. probably forgotten a few details straight up :/

cheers guys.

    +1 (1)
sorted out the wiring for the immobiliser. took a bit of guesswork and some fiddling with an oscilloscope.

for anyone interested, there's a yellow and a yellow/black wire that need wiring to the ECU. a gregory's manual will tell you this much but no more. these two wires are found next to each other on the 28 pin connector.

on the immobiliser plug there's a white/red wire that needs battery power, a white/black ground wire, and a blue/black wire that needs grounding. this one is apparently involved in detecting whether a key is in the ignition barrel. having this much wired up seems to have sorted it out, and the car will now fire and idle.

thought i'd post this up in case anyone ever needs the information, since i had some much trouble finding anything on it.
