MECHANICAL INSPECTION DAY - SATURDAY 6 JULY 2013 - INTEREST AND ROLL CALL

UNIQUE CLUB ACTIVITY - MECHANICAL INSPECTION DAY
 
As a benefit to Club members our two top notch Technical Directors (Scope and Dennis TM) have offered to host a free Mechanical Inspection Day at Scope's professionally equipped workshop. Although the intention was to hold this in late June the date has now been changed slightly, so we will be holding this event on Saturday the 9th of July 2013. Unfortunately we can't do this on a Sunday.
 
This event is not on the Run Calendar for 2013 but has been added as a bonus for members who would like to find out what the mechanical condition of their car is, and what our technical directors recommend can be done to fix any problems uncovered. The day will also provide an opportunity to discuss personally with Scope and Dennis TM any ideas Club members might have on how to improve their cars, and get some idea of what work might cost.
 
We will start the day with a short Run out west of Brisbane to Scope's location, leaving the rendezvous (RV) at 9.00am and arriving at Scope's at about 9.20am. Scope and the Club will provide BBQ facilities and salads but its BYO meat, drinks, eating utensils, and chairs. If you can't make the RV and still want to come then let us know, but there will be a waiting list when you arrive late.
 
This type of activity is something only a Club can facilitate and is being offered without cost. Details of the short Run and Scope's location and contact details will be provided via PM to members who nominate on the Roll Call below, so don't miss this unique opportunity to have your MR2 checked over by the best in the business. Many thanks for your hospitality Cruise Control and Scope.  Most informative day.  Like your workshop.  Belts kept me awake all night. I oiled em jest tur mak shur.

Thank you everyone for a very interesting day.  A special thank you to Scope and Mrs Scope for hosting the day.  I am pleased to say I have fitted the new OEM ignition leads today and the miss is gone.  The engine is purring like a Toyota engine should.  AndyO and I look forward to joining a run soon.
