2013 MR2 Nationals - The Queensland Journey

The Nationals are only 16 weeks away, and the time will fly by.

Because it's such a huge venture we need to start talking about the Queensland section of the journey there, around and back.  The drive down to Melbourne, for example - do we do it as an easy 2 and a bit days, or a big day and a bit more?  Also, is there any one else who would prefer not to "enjoy" the sea experience and would prefer to fly Melbourne to Launceston.  Believe me, as entertaining as it might be you really DON'T want to see my reaction to the boat trip.

Let's throw some ideas around now, and if we can lock our section of the "Concentration Run" in, then NSW and VIC can perhaps work with us, culminating in a final Run through Melbourne to the Ports.

Incidentally, this thread is just for discussion about the Concentration Run, not the actual Nationals - saves getting info confused or overlooked.

Just a heads-up, folks.  Bookings for the Spirit are starting to creep up, if one of the crew is flying over (instead of "enjoying" the Spirit experience) flights are rapidly disappearing, and the overnight halt accommodation may be starting to do the same.

Any discussion on how we want to travel would be a good idea . . .
