Hey guys, while looking into why my speedo wasn't working i found that two syncros in my gearbox had some teeth stripped.
Does anyone have an E153 that they can do away with? I have a 90 sw20

Where are you located? I have a GT4 box recently rebuilt. Same box, E153, so you could just transfer the rebuilt gearset into yours.

I bought it in a damaged ST185 GT4. The car had had a lot of money spent on it and I bought it for the engine to put in my MR2.
The previous owner said everything was built less than 10,000 kms before being taken off the road.
The car was still drivable, I drove it and and shifting was perfect, but there was an oil leak from the gearbox, so it would need new drive shaft seals which wouldn't worry you. Being a E153 the gearsets should transfer over no worries. I think 2nd and 3rd gear might be a slightly different gear ratio too. but the rest are the same. I'll find the values.
I would want $350 for it and for that I could drop it off at the E-go depot at Lara 3212. It's a couple of hours away but it's near my uni so I could make a trip to see some professors.
If you want to do some quote estimates try http://www.e-go.com.au, they're very reasonable depot-depot. You'll have to take a guess at the weight, they aren't that big.
