If a few races are part of MTC in 2015 it will be as per AASA regulations. This includes: Roll cages, logged car, correct race license, correct clothing. It will not be everyone jumping in to play. The closest you can have without going all the way is regularity. You can gain a full license through Wakefield Park and CAMS. AASA is cheaper but cannot be used for certain CAMS events. Need at least 6 cars to compete. It is not a priority for 2015 but a possibility if everything falls into place. If there is a interstate challenge, there could be one car or two from each state earning points over the two days then have the 'race' added to this competition. At the moment it is just some food for thought but there are possibly four or more MR2's from NSW who could run (Admin/Sweetpete/Highlander/B24/You), Maybe two from Qld, Eckers/Matsuda from Victoria, Stuka from Tasmania but unsure about other states. That's 8 cars who could have a rolling start 2/5 laps race. So, its a possibility for people interested in having a go. Also, MR2 only.

You need a national license through AASA or your CAMS Club license with a minimum of 'P' plates. You can almost gain your AASA over the counter. Both require a medical before a observed license test or evidence of 3 or more supersprints/hill climb meetings. If I can organise a CAMS official or the likes, these licenses can be validated at MTC but will need to be done before the 'possible' races.

Andy's is not log booked, Pat is though i believe. Level 2 S license is all you would need James. In the process of getting this license myself atm.

Level 2 S licence is very easy to get. You just need to be part of a car club, fill out the CAMS form and pay the fee of around the $100 mark a year. You can do online renewals, not sure if you can do the full registration online but you might. There's no tests or requirements for a Level 2 S, just need to be part of a car club.

For door to door racing you need a minimum (PC) provisional circuit license or what ever the AASA is It's a bit more involved than a L2S need medicals, lectures/test and do observed driving test. Not sure what's required if you go through AASA but been told it's a bit easier. Can't use a AASA license at every track though

You can get a AASA log book by filling out a form then posting, email or fax to the AASA office. There is a few people around who will come to your place to inspect the car and sign off the paperwork if required. This can be done for both AASA and CAMS. Its a easy process to complete. License for both AASA National (this is what I have used since 2007)and CAMS requires someone to sign off to say you are competent. This too is quite easy to perform. Driver trainers can sign off along with the Clerk of the course at a given event. The concept of two races is just that. A concept that is being entertained.
