Wow the Hoosiers are great! Much more grip than the Kumhos, and the Kumhos are pretty good

1m 7s I was being held up by a Clubman when I was running the Hoosiers in the last session and he didn't make any mistakes so I couldn't get around him. The interesting thing was that we had the same straight line acceleration though he was holding me back through the esses. Who would have thought that an MR2 would out handle a clubman! He was running Toyo semis. I reckon I would have got a low 1m 6s. Maybe a high 5s if I had a clear run. Still learning the track too. South circuit by the way...... The 5SGTE seems to have much better mid range torque. I suppose that would be expected with the extra cubes....

Given I'm running KU36's on the Rear and Fed 595 RSR's on the front, I'll aim for the minute teens. Having never been to Wakefield (JUST can't justify the 1200 k trip for every track day held there), I'll see how I go and try for, say, 1m 15ish as a start... best case scenario, hoping for 1:13 Wish me luck, I'm gonna need it :P

Who from Queensland is going to this, and how are you getting your car there? Are there any people thinking about going but haven't pulled the pin as they don't know how to get there car there? I've been trying to work out what I am doing (going or not etc) and probably have the ability to get a car carrier to take some cars down if numbers were sufficient (prob 5 cars or something to make it worthwhile). Then we could just car pool to get down or fly, whatever was preferred. Anyone from Queensland that was looking to tow there car or was undecided about going because they couldn't get there car there?

B24 Still waiting on a few maybe's and 6 from last year will not be there in 2014. Hopefully, 2015 will have everyone from 2013 and 2014 there. Best day ever in any 2 and my first session on track, only reason I won't be there is I'll be overseas. Anyone that owns any type of 2 would enjoy it, no need to be the best - just nice to see what you and your car's limits are if you are game. I totally gave my 1990 turbo all the beans possible, the car didn't miss a beat. DO IT!

Having seen all the posts from 2013, I thought it looked like a fun couple of days. I'm in for 2014, just as a "cruiser". Need more "cruisers" to keep me company.

Will be shipping out on Saturday 4th January if you want to form a convoy.

I've just submitted my entry form finally! Sorry for the delay Steve. I chose the full "MR2 trackday challenge" option, plus an extra night of accommodation. Steve...can you please put me down for accommodation on the Sunday and Monday nights. I don't even have my car back yet, but I will very soon, hopefully this week lol. I may only participate in some of the competitive events, which I'll decide at the event. I've only been to one trackday ages ago, at Oran Park just before it was demolished. That was one of the funnest days I've ever had, so I'm sure the fun factor will be off the chart with this event!

Just do all of them mate, no point skipping them as they are just as hard/easy on the car as each other. Doing all of them will give you a great experience and really give you great feedback on where the car/yourself excel and lack :)

When the time comes, I'll probably find it hard to resist doing all of the events. I'm not worried about any particular event being harder on the car than the others, I'm just worried about the amount of time spent abusing the car. I don't want something major to break less than a month after getting my car back.

B24 (Steve) - PM sent. By the sounds of things (title of post) is there a certain no. of applicants required in order for this event to take place? I hope it goes ahead, as I am already preparing for it. Would hate to hear that it gets cancelled due to not enough applicants - could this be a possibility?
