FS: GREAT package deal on all my engine components

Well, I have been digging through the cupboards and pulling out all my engine build parts.  I am willing to do a good deal if someone wishes to purchase everything.  I would also consider having the engine completed and assembled if a buyer was after that.  Alot of parts are brand new from Toyota, I have written new next to those parts.

Find below the list of parts I have, it is fairly comprehensive:
Built Caldina Cylinder Head per http://www.mr2australia.com/mr2play/tm.aspx?m=64636 includes headgasket and will be supplied assembled and ready to install to a bottom end.  Quick spec per below:
  • Ferrea Super Alloy 2.5mm OS (36mm) intake valves, 2mm OS (31mm) exhaust valves.  Valve install included fitment of new valve seats & multi angle valve job
  • Bronze valve guides, tapered in lathe to cause minimum flow disruption
  • Complete port job of head and combustion chambers.  Valves deshrouded to limits of the Apexi Headgasket (better bore profile on the gasket then cometic gaskets etc), combustion chambers polished and CC'ed, ports resized to suit enlarged valve sizes
  • Supertech Dual Valve springs, guide casting machined away to accept inner seat
  • Supertech Titanium retainers for gen 3 (suit shim under bucket configuration)
  • Kelford 272 degree high lift camshafts
  • HKS Adjustable cam gears
  • Ferrea CNC'ed valve locks/keepers
  • More information per linked thread above
Brian Crower Billet 4340 Billet crankshaft (NEW)
Custom Carillo forged rods with forced pin oiling option & 3/8" CARR bolt option.  Custom length for rod the stroke ratio around ~1.6:1 (ie, standard 3SGTE) but running stroker capacity (NEW)
Late Model 5SFE block, good condition, ready for machine work
Beams sump, two halves & windage tray
Caldina Complete engine gasket kit (04111-74721) (NEW)
ST205 GRPA Water Pump (notified by Terry @ Road and Track that this pump suffers less cavitation at high RPM use) (NEW)
Gen 3 3SGTE thermostat housing/water outlet for above pump
Gen 3 thermostat (NEW)
Caldina water hard line (16268-88580) (NEW)
Power Enterprise Gen 3 Kevlar Timing Belt (NEW)
Crank angle sensor (NEW)
Beams/Caldina 36-2 Crank Gear (NEW)
Gen 3/4 Water Outlet junction off head (required for Caldina Head)
Modified coolant neck
Rear end plate (11355-74030) (NEW)
Caldina Tensioner idler pulley  (13505-88560) (NEW)
Gen 3 Dip Stick Tube (11452-88461) (NEW)
Gen3/Caldina Timing Belt Tensioner (13540-88480) (NEW)
Idler Pulley (13503-63011) (NEW)
Caldina Cam Cover
ACL Thrust Washers
Gen 3 steel cam gear backing plate
Every nut and bolt required for engine assembly new from Toyota (about $200 worth of fasteners alone)
Pics of just some of the bottom end components I had laying around in the house:

Parts required to complete engine (sump to valve cover with caldina/gen3 specific bolt on components required for fitment):
  • Custom Pistons, 1.025" compression height, bore diameter 87.5mm, pin diameter 0.866", valve reliefs to suit 36mm intake valve, 31mm exhaust valve and dish to suit whatever compression ratio you want to run (depends on what fuel you'll be using), I'd recommend CP, they have made some for me previously.  Just request a 3SGTE piston in 87.5mm bore with 1.025" compression height with valve reliefs for 36mm intake and 31mm exhaust valves in compression ratio of choice. I got quoted on the pistons late 2011 and the price was just under $800USD plus shipping.  This included upgraded wrist pins over standard CP items.  At that stage I was still waiting for headwork to be finished so I had a combustion chamber CC to work my compression ratio out from.
  • Caldina/Beams oil pump (pump required to use the crank gear mounted timing sensor & caldina sump)
  • Caldina Lower Timing Belt Cover
  • Caldina/Beams Oil Pickup
  • Big end and main bearings
  • ARP Main & Head studs (ARP head studs I had have sold), strangely cant find any mains around, would have thought I had some.

Chasing 7K ONO for everything.  This is a couple of thousand less then I would be asking for the parts seperately and about $5000 less then the cost of parts and machining this far.  For another $2000-2500 you could have the extra parts bought, bottom end machined and assembled and head bolted on resulting in a $15k engine for less then $10k (what it cost me for a run of the mill 1mm OS valve, 5SGTE build with no fancy rod options, billet crank, bronze guides, fancy headwork etc that I was running when I made 500whp)

If someone buys the package I'll offer them special pricing on some other parts I have, as below:
Custom RacerX intake manifold - this manifold was manufactured to the cylinder head specs by racerX (plenum volume, runner length and taper calculated to match cam profiles and valve sizing) so should be a good match.  $750
75mm Edelbrock Universal Racing T/B to match aforementioned manifold $200
Carbonetics Twin Plate Clutch, 2000km of use, no measureable friction plate wear, you cant even feel a lip $1300
Custom fuel rail for Gen 3/ Caldina.  Manufactured this myself.  The rail standoffs were specifically machined to accept the plastic heat isolators per the factory caldina fuel rail.  Includes fuel injector adaptors required at the head end of the injector that are equipped with Viton seals.  Suits 14mm injectors.  Tapped for -8ORB fittings, no stupid NPT leaky ****.  Never used $200

Pics of some of the other bits:

What sort of turbo could feed that animal?

Obviously the Borg Warner 9180.... Did you find a dodgy supplier who took your money and never sent the goods or was there other problems with supply?

    Shame that stopped your build.

Yeah, the dodgy supplier is Borg Warner.  Basically noone is yet to receive their twinscroll 9180.  And unfortunately I cant get a refund, just store credit so I'll just have to spend that cash on something I think.

Sounds good Khanh to have your car sorted!  Why are you chasing a shell?

PS: I would consider completing the engine for the right person if they were willing to pay an up front deposit. Complete and assembled price would be ~$9.5k

This engine. If it's been designed to be fed by the non existent Borg Worner, what else can fill the specs the Borg was supposed to?

Sorry for not responding to this.  I would recommend this engine for turbo selection of GT30 range or larger.  Someone preferably wanting to make 400-450+whp though I built the engine and the accessories I was attaching to it to handle 900whp+.  My goal was a reasonably safe 700whp.  I could not see this performing any worse at low RPM usage then my previous engine which wasn't that bad at all, notably better then a standard 3S due to the extra capacity.  The head is an inherently better design for low range torque on this engine also.

Engine and parts currently still here.  I am thinking I'll have to build it and sell it as a unit.  This really is an absolute steal if you know the amount of coin that has gone into it.

    It sounds pretty epic.

I think your best bet would be to build it and sell it complete. Then some numpty like myself can deal with it - if i bought the components... thats the way they'd remain.

Its not only the 'coin' that's gone into it but the countless hours of research and consideration too.

For sure, but selling it complete may be easier - that and if its complete and sold - its completely gone.

Couldn't imagine how annoying/frustrating it would be to have half a a well thought out engine going to waste, that while knowing the other half is on an inferior motor.

Right, starting to get time again, going to order custom slugs and the few other components I need to complete the engine very soon, spend my store credit before MVP forget I exist.
