New wheels for my 2..
Ok.. So I have some ssr (C Class White rims [17"..?]) sitting in my backyard and thought if I could make a swap with my current ones (Stock [15"?] from what i've heard) I was wondering if I would need to change the body work or replace anything to fit them on? Sorry i'm new with wheels etc..

depending on what width, pcd and offset they are they may or may not fit have a look inside the wheel rim for a sticker and post up what it says hopefylly they will suit your car. alternatively take a pic of the sticker and post it up here cheers

Width and offset? depends on your offset whether they'll foul on your struts or not. anything more than, say, +35 and i wouldn't bother, and if it's too far out, it'll foul on your guards when you turn, and scrub over bumps if you've got too much travel... there's a fair bit to take into account when looking at what sort of rims... best bet would be to dummy fit them to your car. if they don't foul on anything, you should be good as long as you have the right size tyres (40 profile for 17's is ideal)

+1 for dummy fit. You can fit pretty aggressive 17's so success is likely.

18X8.5 +32?
shouldn't have a problem with them I'm running 16X8, 16X9's with bigger offset, but i rub my guards a tiny bit because of my massive tyres give 'em a fit, you should have no trouble though, but if you're after tyres for them, make sure they're not too big :D

Are all four wheels the same width (have same numbers on the stickers?) If so The rear (IMO) may look a bit out of proportion to the front. If that size is the same all round, you will be very close to the front suspension, and if you are running coilovers I am pretty sure a spacer will be required.

Yes all the stickers show the same thing. I will need new tyres for them.. So im guessing the rear ones will stick out more if not a lot more if they do fit on?

Are all four of them 18x8.5 +32? That size on the front will poke out a little I think. Maybe some neg camber will make em fit???

Are all 4 of them saying the same thing? sometime the wheels are staggered which means fronts width is smaller than the rear width the mr2 is from factory like that. (wider wheels in the back) with that size on a stock (everything) car, it should fit depending on what size tyres are on it. might have some issues with the fronts test fitting them as other have mentioned is the best bet cheers

Yes, agreed that the rims you have Atm is smaller 15s and the newer ones are 17s Going to 17s from 15s isn’t the issue The issue is your current 15s are less wider than the newer 17s and also has higher offsets than the newer 17s This will cause all sorts of problems with how the wheels sits inside the wheel well , wethere they will be closer to the struts or further away from the struts Closer to the struts will cause the wheels or tyres to rub on the struts causing you issues when turning Further away from the struts will cause issues with the wheels rubbing into your front fenders and destroying the tyres and front fenders, plastic wheel arch liners etc etc in the process

so, saying i would like similar rims to the photo I have shown are there any recommendations anyone could provide? (i.e do I need new body work, new coils?) Also what size would I need for a good fit?
