DownShift Meets
Went to my first Downshift meet today, was pretty good. I appreciate it's not for everyone, saw a couple MR2's, bumped into Eric. Elliot was floating around to I think. (sorry i missed ya) Was thinking if a few people want to meet up before the next one and park together, we can organise it on here. Thoughts? Yeah I saw you when I drove in but when I parked you had moved on by then, I go to these pretty much every month I think their great Walter went with me one time too.
I think this past one had the most mr2s I've ever seen there usually there is only 1 or 2 other than me, id love to get a group of us together and park all next to each other. They usually have cars gettinb in there up 30-45 min before the actual start time so I would say it would be best to get there really early and get a good spot near the front.
Their feb meet is gonna be a track day so the next one would be march. Hopefully we can still get into Rocklea a couple d!€£ heads did some burnouts in the field so not sure if they will let us back in.

These meets are awsome for cops to rape u... Been to a couple bearly got out alive... All hardparkers but see some good cars somtimes :)

Like I've said before I've Gina to all the ones in 2012 except for I think 2 and never had a single issue with the cops it's on private property the cops aren't allowed to do a single thing to you while your there except for illegal things such as this last meet for the first time the cops showed up looking for stolen parts which I'm more than happy for them to do. Must be me then, ive got the worst luck with those fellas.. I wounder how quick those track spots gets taken?? Im not a member of downshift... I went the the jdmst + downshift meets

I've heard of people having issues after they leave downshift but I mean that could be any day they have defect stations every where any day of the week, the way I go towards home I've never seen any cops tho maybe they are in the other direction
I want to the first track day they had and they still had spots that day, they definitely would have heaps of spots still available they only just posted it up. If you contact them you can ask them how quick the spots are going
I had heaps of fun when I went seeing as I've never been on the track before then, but this time I'm not going Im buying a new front lip so I have to save my monies :(

Just looked on the downshift website, they're showing the Feb event as a Meet at the Rocklea showgrounds. On the same day as the All Jap Classic.
On the same day as the Mt Baw Baw Rally Test Day . . .

No helmets no nothing when I went the car didn't have to be road registered either but I think I heard last time they changed it so it might have to be registered idk I didn't even bother looking into this track day one cause I knew I wouldn't go.
Hmm I didn't have a look yet I usually don't bother looking at the site I just get it updated on my Facebook and they hasn't posted anything yet and the past 2 track days they didn't do a monthly meet
Maybe there's time for both all jap and downshift?

Due to the success of the last C&C meet, we're putting on a morning breakfast and happy laps meet at Queensland Raceway on the morning of Saturday, 3 December 2013. Same deal as last time, get out there and give your car a good thrashing in a safe, legal way!
Track time is between 7:00 and 8:00am sharp, since there is a group on-track after us. MAKE SURE YOU ARRIVE AT 6:45am for drivers' briefing at 6:50am SHARP.
Looks like it's just an hour of cruise laps (powercruise style, <130km/h). $60 for an hour of cruise laps just isn't worth the effort of getting out of bed for :( However, Slidewize has an event coming up soon...... $130 for a full 8hrs of skids :)

There's no speed limit just when you go around corners you can't overtake and you can't loose traction. So it isn't as fun as a lot of other ones but for the price it isn't that bad you get to go as fast as you can and race skylines, common whores, civics whatevers there, for people who go to the track regularly yeah I can imagine it isn't that great but for people like me its awesome
