Baby's back home.  New alternator & battery replaced under warranty.  He just wants me to drop over tomorrow so he can check the charge or something.
New clutch & they didn't find anything else that "needed" to be done while they had bits off, apart from replacing the air filter.

some pics of my baby at sunrise this morning.  So worth getting up in the dark.
Then I had the sway bar mount reinforcement plates put on, while having brunch in a nice little café.

Yes, it certainly is KEP.  A great spot.  Hill climb still happens on Oct Long weekend, altho not as many spectators now that they charge $10 per person to watch.

Found them on EBAY from Hong Kong.  Cost me $110 including postage.  He had them on for $60us.  I offered $40us & he jumped at it within 10 mins, should have offered less.  Postage was more than the mats themselves, lol.  But had seen others costing way more, so decided they were worth it.
The drivers side has a couple of small dirty marks & is naturally little more worn than the passenger, but I'll hit it with some carpet cleaner this weekend & they'll be all good.  I was actually surprised at the thickness of the pile.
The drivers side has the fitting hole, but I'm not sure where it attaches to.

I had no idea what Dandism meant.  It did say in the description that they were "Turbo" mats, lol.  I didn't think it mattered.  I just wanted mats with the MR2 logo.

Thanks Shaz, you just gave me the motivation I needed to finally get some proper floor mats too!
I just ordered a pair of Dandism floor mats on eBay which are the same style as yours I believe.
It will be good to finally get rid of my crap no-name floor mats, which were on the car when I bought it.

Very happy with my new wheels & tyres on the rear.  Felt good on the freeway.  That extra 3cm of rubber on each side has made such a difference.  She feels more stable, no where near as much body roll around the corners that I drive on all the time.  Felt secure on the wet road last night, except for a tiny spin taking off from one set of lights.  I didn't plant the foot any harder than I usually do.
Will be going to tyre place this afternoon to see about the front tyres.

Hmm, I think they are drawing a very long bow to try and link 'dandism' to a 3rd Dan.
Here's the wikipedia definition of 'Dandy ~ Dandyism' http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dandy

"A dandy[1] (also known as a beau or gallant[2]) is a man who places particular importance upon physical appearance, refined language, and leisurely hobbies, pursued with the appearance of nonchalance in a cult of Self.[3] Historically, especially in late 18th- and early 19th-century Britain, a dandy, who was self-made, often strove to imitate an aristocratic lifestyle despite coming from a middle-class background".

I think that this translates with the use of Japlish to our 'Dandism' Don't we place importance on the physical appearance of the car, enjoy its refined language and use it as a leisurely hobby? We can imitate that aristocratic lifestyle of the ferrari despite our middle class backgrounds.

That other US post is just that persons wishful thinking, and a load of bollocks.

The pizza shop man will be pleased he can have his pizza cutters back. Spun the wheels? Oh yeah, Toyota wheels add a 15% increase in power….
