Hey mate, I managed to replace the fuel pump with a Walbro all by myself in one day. However, I did have a pit at home and sussed out the job a far bit before I did it.
Take your time, inspect the fuel lines and breathers before you put it all back too.
Go to my showroom thread and I think on the last page I posted a link to a webpage that I used to help with the procedure. Also, the starter motor is close to the fuel filter so if your replacing that too (which i suggest you do) disconnect your battery. Sparks and fuel don't mix.

The biggest problem I had was with the filler tube. There's a 'flexible' rubber coupling between the metal filler pipe and the tank. I say 'flexible', as mine was rock solid and I couldn't budge it. Ended up having to remove heaps of stuff to get leverage to remove it. Otherwise it wasn't too bad, just real time consuming. Make sure you have some decent jacks and stands, as you need to raise the car enough to slide the tank out. The guide I used is here: http://lovehorsepower.com...mp;id=24&Itemid=29 I went Supra TT. Bit better flow than the Walbro, meant to be quieter and a bit better rep for reliability. Was worth the money for peace of mind IMO.

Thanks for the link Blacky. Do you know what the flow rate for the Supra tt one is? And does it just bolt and plug straight in?
Haha that's a good one, definitely save a lot of time and hassle. I think I'll pull the tank out though.

I thought the flow rate is the same between the supra and Walbro 255. I did the job myself, and you should be able to do it within a day by yourself. Just run the tank low so you don't have the extra weight of fuel to content with. (You can drain the tank via the plug at the bottom if need be) You can also run into problems pulling the filler line from the tank, from the engine bay. Some will come off easily others, not quite so. Another recommendation is to run higher gauge electrical wiring to the fuel pump as they do suck more power. The standard wiring is capable but heavy gauge wiring is recommended. Bother fuel pumps should be easy to fit. Good Luck!

The Supra TT flows a little more than the Walbro, but not considerably so. Both will easily support 250kW on PULP, its only if you're planning on E85 that you should probably look larger. Supra is a direct fit (the kit comes with a few fittings for various applications), Walbro requires a fitting kit but its fairly cheap.

I think I will go with the Aeromotive Stealth one so that if I do end up wanting more power I don't have to change it again.

Have you thought about the fuel rail yet? A high flow pump with the stock rail can give wildy different pressures at the injectors. The stock rail is extremely restrictive, so adding significantly more flow can screw things up. Wolfkatz have a pretty thorough explanation: http://wolfkatz.com/Artic...t%20Final%20Report.pdf I went with one of their aftermarket side feed rails (do it right the first time) but at the very least get the stock rail bored out.

So how was it... did you want to kill yourself at some point during? :D a quick google tells me that "JECS Corporation is an automotive components company headquartered in Isesaki, Gunma, Japan and a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi. " I know NISSAN had a lot to do with them, but nothing much relating to Toyota...
