I have a gen 2 3SGTE and it has had that down pipe the whole time, though i only just realised. So does that mean that the down pipe is off a gen 3? Is that an upgrade on the gen 2 one?

Is it a std cast pipe your talking about? If so I doubt its a upgrade.I haven't looked a. Gen2 one but the gen3 is still pretty bad

The factory dump/cat combos are not that great.  I got one the ebay stainless dump/cat pipes that cogs organised as a group buy a while back (SARD dump/cat copy).  Just got the car running, its working great so far.

Anyone still on this thread? I'm trying to view cogs ct20b conversion on the gen2 but everytime i click the link it loads the mr2australia homepage. Any ideas?
