Delete vacuum sensor?

Hey guys, I just got a mildly, ported intake manifold
I then ported it more and polished it up really smooth, proceeded too install it then ince bolting it all together realised it does not have a hole for the vacuum sensor (sensor that goes just after the tb/ throttle sensor)
Now I did some research turns out its a gen 3 intake manifold and just not plugging it in is fine just makes your car run.a little richer which in my case isn't really that bad of a thing
So what I'm asking
Is there a way to delete it entirely rather then having it hanging in my engine bay? Would I need a gen 3 tb?
Or is there another solution

Also ported manifold works GREAT
So clean seems to have a noticeably increased power all over the rpm range very happy.

Pics? I don't think the gen3 manifolds bolt up to the gen2 head.

    Oh really?
The first pic shows the old manifold showing where the sensor goes
The second is the new one with the vacuum sensor hanging
    Thanks ace :)

You sure that sensor is not a cold start injector? Kinda looks like one to me.
But then again I know very little about the na engines.

That's what I thought at first but got my brother to start the car and nothing came out? So I looked it up an it looked like the vacuum sensor
And if its a cold start injector why is it in the intake manifold and why dosnt the new manifold have one?

Couple of things you can do to check.
Google the part number on it.
Google 3sge cold start injector. When I did this a couple of minutes ago it came up with results about how the gen2 3sge used a CSI and the gen3 didn't. Also something about a JDM gen2 3sge also didn't use a CSI.

Why they are in the manifold is because they squirt fuel into the flow of air entering the engine hence enriching it for all 4 cylinders.

This what a cold start injector looks like.

Here is a pic of the Gen3 motor.
From the pics, you obviously do not have a gen 3 manifold.

With this new manifold, you may have trouble starting  it in cold temps without the CSI .

"nothing came out" Possibly because the temp was not cold enough, assuming your system is working properly anyway.

Some 3SGE motors did not have a CSI but their ECU's are different.
You may be able to get around it if you check out:
    http://www.mr2.com/forums...injector-jdm-3sge.html

Good luck, and let us know how it turns out anyway.

Would I be able to remount it say in the
    Intake system?
What temperature does it need to be at to even operate?

Thanks everyone for your help its been good :)

"Remount it in the intake system"??
It would need to be post throttle body to work.

    "Operation temp"
I would suggest you Google up info on the 3SGE CSI operation.
I think the CSI also has a time switch as well as a temp sensor.
The temp sensor would be in the filler neck somewhere, not sure about the time switch location.

    Hmm thanks man
Shall do ill update to let you know how it went,

But apart from that manifold is great
:) very time consuming but worth it provided you have the correct equipment and do your research.

Bit of an update I reconnected the fuel line and screw to the manifold

But I don't have a big enough hole to fit the injector/temp sensor in so ATM its just hanging down until I decide weather to leave it or custom make a hole

So at this point it's got fuel going in just not picking up the correct temp seems fine for now

Are you saying that you disconnected the fuel line to the injector and plumbed the line directly into the manifold?
So when the engine is running fuel is dumping into the manifold???

The injector does not measure temperature :)

Yeah pretty much what you said seems to run fine
Defiantly better, in terms or power/ throttle response

Also I have an afr gauge it seems to be running a little richer aswell

Yes it would be running richer if fuel was pouring into the manifold at 3bar fuel pressure without an injector or anything controlling its flow :)

Just to check again, you have a fuel line connected to a vacuum hose port or something???

Its not a good idea to have it like that. Either put the old manifold back and connect the injector or plug the CSI fuel line where it comes off the fuel rail (If it comes from the rail that is)

    I think the best way
To fix it is to custom make a hole.

Just to verify, the hole I plumbed the injector line into was the right hole,

But I need to custom make a hole, so I can fix it up properly.

No idea how to approach the custom hole, if anyone can assist me?
