Hard top for MR2 Spyder

Anyone know where I can get one of these/ I have seen a few pictures of hard / removable tops on MR2 Spyders and they not only look very sexy....lol but can be removed - this may be an option as I need a new soft top to be fitted to mine.

.....Help...!!!!

These are very hard to come by, i was lucky enough to get one but was a little damaged but I didn't care! Best chance of getting one is either look on carsales and offer the person selling there spyder with hard top or you may either have to get one from either England or better $$ Japan actions import monster and speak with Dylmrt from gorilla industries on here about bids and shipping from Japan. Good luck!

Sounds good. I need a new soft top and they are readily available, but a hardtop would be even better (they are removable are they not?) My vehicle colour code is 6R4 (which is like a British Racing Green) and my car is a September 2001 model Spyder.
Would like a price before I committed to the purchase first, so if you are doing a group buy let me know and what the cost will be. I have an advert running in the UK forum for a hardtop, but so far nobody wanting to part with theirs. Keep me in the picture mate.
    Cheers

You dont need too worry about year model as all spyder hardtops are one size fits all lol and they sure are removable so on them sunny days you can still use your car like a convertable and also you dont need to remove your softtop either you can just leave it folded or some just get rid of it either way. just maybe make a rack or put it somewhere it wont get damaged.
you will need to get the fitting kit along with the hardtop. in the picture you will see 2 striker hooks you can also buy trim to fit these othere wise you will have to cut your trim to fit them.
If you do find one in another colour i would grab it and get it resprayed as its hard enough to find a hardtop let alone the same colour. funny enough when i brought mine it was the same colour as your car lol but sanded it back patched the damaged area and first priemed it and than sprayed it the colour i wanted and put a clear coat on top, we didnt have access to a spray gun at the time so just used spray cans and wouldnt be able to tell. lol
    good luck!

Update, Have found and received an "almost brand new" soft top on the frame that I got from someone in the forum who is dismantling a vehicle. Now.......are there any sadists who want to tackle fitting this bad boy? I see there are a number of installation guides on the net, but I guess if someone has done this before they would be the "go to" people here? if so , please be in touch and we can discuss how much silver has to cross your palm to do this for me.....

I think that's one job I hope I never have to do! I think someone on spyderchat did a step by step which makes it not look too bad! Good luck!
