Distributor cap rotor replacement
Hey guys thinking about replacing my diZzy cap and rotor before the Wakefield track day just so I know for peace of mind it has a brand new one rather then 225xxxkm 20 odd year old one in there
Now twos r us have a tune up kit with everything included including new leads But it's American so the Na is out being a 5sfe
Would I be able to use. The 3sgte tune up kit or will it not fit haven't checked part numbers or anything yet to verify thought I'd ask to see if any one has done this or has any knowledge on the matter.
Cheers guys

As you noted, I believe the 5SFE has a different distributor. However, the 3SGTE turbo and 3sge NA use the same distributor caps, but there are 2 different types, early model and later model. How to pick which one you have? If you look closely at the pics, the later model ones have smaller center ignitor lead sockets than the early models. Twos'rus have both types, including the tune up kit that should be ok for your car.

East coast auto spares in Bentliegh have everything you'll need, or if you can wait, Amazon.com. I just ordered a heap of AW11 stuff off there and if everything goes smoothly set aside a heap more to order, all the same if not cheaper than twosrus and shipping is dirt cheap (which is what's stopped me ordering little bits and pieces in the past).

Old thread revival. But I wanted to change my dizzy cap and rotor as well, and I was wondering what brand peoples got for their mr2? (91 turbo here) The genuine Toyota stuff is pretty expensive. The stuff on ebay is pretty cheap, but I don't know if they are any good?

I have a brand new genuine toyota (Denso) cap that I don't need, the button can be sourced from ebay, I believe they are not too bad.

Yeah the button can be had from any of the auto parts shops as an aftermarket item.
