SW20 door window rubber repair

hi guys just thought id put up on here that my sw20 door window rubbers where going white so i came up with a cheap idea with out it costing me heaps of time and money to make them look like new again without using expensive rubber repair products or replacing the seals. As silly as it may sound i used tire shine a cheap spray can tire shine from repco, im sure more expensive brands would work better but it worked wonders on them, they are almost looking like new, all i did was soak a rag with the tire shine on one corner and rub it on the seals being careful not to put it on paint or window, i had to wait till it dried and apply a couple more coats but they came up good, its been 3 weeks and they are still as black as when i did them. Im sure after time they will start to go white again but just thought it may help some people like me out with that problem. Regards Nathan
