Well there you go, remove the bottom plastic trim piece under the steering wheel and trace the turbo timer wires. You might find some dodgy wiring near the ignition switch? And as mentioned above, unplug the timer wiring if possible?
You might as well remove it permanently?

Yeah mine was giving me to much trouble so I ditched it permenatly,
 
I just let the car run for a few seconds after I drive it and it's fine, my engine is heavily modified and I have never cooked the oil in the turbo.
