Where to buy oversize rings online?

I'm looking for a set of 1mm oversize rings for the 3sgte, no luck on ebay or the like. The Hastings website doesn't sell online it seems. Any other places people use?
Should I try repco or bursons or something?

are they for standard pistons or forged? some forged pistons need thier own specific rings.

also road and track can supply these. for brands i think ACL sell ring kits still?

Sure do and I'd even hazard they supply some OEMs.

They are ross forged blank pistons machined by acl.
under 2 of them there is etched into them 1mm.
They are second hand out of a running engine. I drove the car. It was a GT4 and for some reason the previous owner had cut off the rear right tab on the engine that bolts to the gearbox. (looking from the rear of the engine). I have a spare block so I want to swap everything over before installing in the MR2.
Now what confuses me. Standard is said to be 86mm? I measure these with the verniers and get 86.7mm, I also measure the old standard pistons and get about 86.4mm
Does this sound right? The bores will get turned out to match the pistons so I just need a new set of rings. I have dylmrt looking into a set too.

std bore is 86mm yes, but toyota do sell 6.5mm OS pistons so it's possible your "old" pistons may be evidence the engine was rebuilt at some stage.

contact R&T for some new ACL rings to suit the ACL/ROSS 1mm OS pistons.

I brought oversize rings from Repco, cost $90.

Personally I don’t like Repco but piston rings are the one thing they are good for.

ACL / Mahle pistons use the exact same size as stock piston rings, so they are compatible.

Not all piston rings are the same, some people just throw rings in an engine because the size is the same, however there are different materials that piston rings can be made from, stock rings are cast iron, you can get chrome cast iron and chrome steel rings, and the hardest wearing rings are Moly, but if the cylinder bore in your engine is shiny or has black spots then moly rings would burn out really fast.

It would be best to get a hone ran through your bore 600 – 800 stone and use moly rings, Repco also sell moly rings.

if you checked the forum sponsors you will find they can usually help you much faster and easier that generic parts suppliers

repco dont make pistons rings and have not done so for about 30 years. in fact, they make almost nothing here any more, its all buy from someone and  package in a repco box

as said by 3SGETurbo, the Ross pistons use a fairly conventional 3SGTE ring pack (same as gen 1 & 2 3SG) that we stock. it is not the same ring pack as most other forgies.

That's the one reson I don't use repco anymore its all imported crap, especially there tools.

I did buy rings from them last year as they were able to get NPR, Hastings and ACL rings although it did take 1 week to order them in.
