Gen 3 + ct20b maximum boost

Just wondering what sort of boost levels people have run with the ct20b with or without turbo failure?
I have a colleague at work with a st205 which has concerns about me running 20 psi of boost.
He has heard of compressor wheel failures in the celica community with the consequence of  destroying the engine from ingesting shrapnel from the turbo.

Personally, with stock everything, I wouldn't push it past maybe 15 - 17psi. Is it a daily?
    That's just me though.

I am running Greddy copy Side mount with sprays, Berk dump pipe, Apexi pod, 3" custom exhaust. Car is a club car so to speak. It pretty much only does car club events, motorkhanas, hillclimbs and track days etc. Gen 3 engine has only been in the car for approx. 10 km (not rebuilt) and is getting put on the dyno on friday ready for it's first event on saturday

Id keep it at 16psi for longevity, youd only have the ceramic wheel, gen3 std boost cut is around 17.5psi.

I will have to double check but maybe something has been done to my std. ecu.
Because when i took it for it's first drive with my boost controller hooked up(haven't touch the settings since pulling the Gen 2 out with max 22psi)
My boost gauge was reading 20 psi.
Or maybe my boost gauge is way out.
