I'd be interested. Maby we need to have a club outing of our own to a local track to single out who will get a seat on the day. I'd recommend Le mans in Dandenong for a practice run.

I think we should see if we get the minimum 10 members first before we cull the slowest.  Can you guys add your names to an on-going list so it makes it easier for me to track?

e.g. the following list is for interest in the main GTCC challenge
    1. VRTULX - Bryan
    2. TRD2000
    3. na/sdub
    4. dasic1

As I am one of the newest general committee members, I might discuss the possibility of having more MR2 club go-kart days at the next meeting.

Well people if your serious about getting involved in the GTCC event and the possibility of a practice run before the main event in October, pm me your interest and I'll add your user name to a list. As above we need a minimum of 10 drivers for the GTCC event but a practice run can be run with 20 or more without any hassle. By all means get your mates involved for the practice run if you like.

    Hey guys,
I have updated some details in the first post. The GTCC go-kart day is planned for the 4th of November.
It seems in the go kart race we will have to do a lemans/enduro style driver change during the race. So that is the reason why the 10 drivers have to team up with another driver and form pairs.

So far I have seen 5 "maybes" on the facebook mr2 club event invite and 4 (incl myself) interested in this forum thread.

So in total that is 9 members that can potentially represent our team. My friend has volunteered to partner me on the day so we have the potential to field the required 10.

I have been informed that we can have our friends enter in with our club so that may be an option to fill our team. I would think though in the event we would have to resort to that, one of the drivers in the pair has to be an MR2 driver.

Can I please start having people confirm if they can commit to this event as the organizers need to know if we can be one of the teams competing.

    Hey guys,
cut off of whether we are one of the teams to compete is 15th of October.

Please contact me ASAP if you are definately in or not by emailing bjd.elec.eng@gmail.com email subject: TEAM MR2 go karts.

We have 5 from facebook entrys. We need another 5.

You can invite friends to partner yourself to enter our team, but I request that at least one driver of the pair is a MR2 owner or past owner.
