Club Update
Just to let everyone know where we are at the moment, the incorporation has been finalised and we are currently in the process of acquiring CAAMS affiliation plus put some finishing touches to the website.
For the members with an interest in having track days and similar activities we felt the CAAMS affiliation was an important thing to get from the word 'go' because of the doors it opens, and only incorporated clubs can acquire this.
With the age of the first Adub's now approaching the threshold for classic club registration we are also examining what this could mean for paid up members. Some states (South Australia particularly) have just completely overhauled their so-called classic registers to exclude any cars built after the late 1970's but so far in Queensland this hasn't happened (and we hope it doesn't).
The setting process was slowed down somewhat by some personal health issues over the past few months but we are now moving ahead.
I hope to have everything done by mid-October and the Christmas party should be a good opportunity to celebrate putting the group on a more permanent footing.
