Parts Needed For 1990 SW20
hey all recently got my hands on a cheap sdub over the weekend.. all is in pretty good condition bit too ricer for my liking but it was cheap and i have no problem de-ricing it back to a tidy car again.. anyways its just missing a few things if anyone has them just give me an offer.. im located in newcastle and these parts are small so anywhere further then half hour or so drive i would rather just pay for the postage.. anyways here are the things im after: Passenger side parker light .. will buy as pair if need be Also after the headlamps to go in the bumper.. to be honest im not exactly sure what fits and what doesn't.. one of you guys might know.. Next im after the electric antenna i believe they come with?.. wiring included prefered.. Lastly im after the coolant bottle for the 3GSE. probably the most urgent needed part from the ones above.. but yeah if anyone has those parts give us a bell.. would be greatly appreciated.. or if anyone knows where i could pick them up new or second hand for not too expensive... i have rung every wreckers in the hunter and central coast area and none have an sdub in their lot or parts for one -__- kind regard, Dylon

When you say "the headlamps to go in the bumper", do you mean the fog/driving lights? I have a spare coolant overflow bottle as well, let me know if you're interested dyl30

not all of them came with the fog lights in the bumper... you might want to check if you have the wiring and if you need the active steering ones if you do.

sorry for late reply... i checked before posting whether it had the wiring setup for the fog lights and it does.. im assuming its just the plain stationary ones.. not sure where to look to get some.. also an update on parts needed.. The coolant bottle is taken care of.. if there are any problems ill let you guys know if i still need one or not... im also after an extractors heat shield for an N/A 3GSE as well as the above corner lights and antenna. and a stock radiator for the N/A or if an aftermarket one is any improvement thatll be fine.. cheers guys

Mate I had so many of these parts but threw them all out before I moved. I would've just given them to you.

Hi Dylon, Regarding the Passenger side parker light, I think I have one, not sure exactly which side it is though. I will check and let you know. I had the same problem, one corner piece was lost from one of the sides.

the selaed beam headlights are a direct swap afaik. i have a pair for sale http://www.mr2australia.com/mr2play/tm.aspx?m=69624 but im in melbourne so you would ahve to pay for postage. alternatively i can seperate the lense for you but would have to work out a price for that. and i think the 180sx, rx7 and all pop ups are the same but you will need to double check that for sure. cheers

BTW, old sealed units are too far gone by now anyway and not really worth putting in. If you haven't already bought new lens/reflector assemblies, I would advise avoiding cheap eBay plastic ones (they can melt) and get a good brand name ones like Hella, Narva, etc, but buy them locally (Australia) for right hand drive cars. Any good modern globes should work well, and the combination should give you a stunning improvement over your old sealed beams. If you pm me and include your email, I can send you an article about updating h/lamps, types to get, etc.

yeah i got it all sorted thanks guys.. much better now with the new lenses and bulbs.. currently just after the spoiler, antenna, heat shield, rear strut brace and a pair of clear driving/fog lights.. most likely more parts as i discover other things missing on the car.. people and pulling stuff apart and not putting them back together correctly or at all ugh
